Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour

Southampton, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom

Located near the Port of Southampton, the Grand Harbour Hotel is an upscale business property with multiple meeting rooms that attracts both cruise ship passengers and corporate travelers. The hotel completed a major renovation in 2014, and rooms are contemporary if generic, and lack minibars; some get noise from the road. Features include two restaurants, a hotel spa with an indoor pool, and an older gym with personal trainers available.

Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa

Brockenhurst, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom

The Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa is a spacious 1800s-themed hotel with three restaurants, a full-service Thai spa (one of the property's main draws), and a conference center. Room rates are a little pricey (especially for the slightly bland Knightwood Garden Rooms), but it's a good choice for travelers who want a hotel near the New Forest with a lot of room and many amenities. The hotel also has nine spacious conference rooms available for meetings and events, free hotel-wide Wi-Fi, and free parking.

3

Macdonald Elmers Court Hotel & Resort

Lymington, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom

The Macdonald Elmers Court Hotel & Resort seems like a charming faux-Tudor getaway at first glance, but first impressions can be deceiving. The beautiful 19th-century house is just a location for the front desk and the restaurants, but most of the hotel rooms are in a separate extension with thin walls and generic, slightly dated decor. They're homey and attractive enough for a mid-range stay, and many guests come for the features rather than the rooms, including the spa, gym, tennis and squash courts, meeting rooms that can fit up to 120, and a ballroom for weddings.

4

Montagu Arms Hotel

Beaulieu, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom

The 22-room Montagu Arms is a charming upscale hotel located in a 17th-century country house in the New Forest National Park. Though it's probably a bit too stuffy for children, adult guests will enjoy the quaint English decor, the gardens, and the two on-site restaurants, one of which is Michelin-starred. Features include free Wi-Fi and a couple of meeting rooms.
