Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Helsinki

The hotel is inside a modern, five-story building with a glass facade that appears fairly corporate, a vibe that continues into the lobby, with its dark tiled floors and minimalist furnishings -- and some very bold, geometric lamps for touches of style. Just behind the front desk is the convenient, 24-hour Plaza H.U.B. restaurant where guests can grab drinks, coffee, and pastries next to the business center. The spacious Plaza Lounge has a big skylight illuminating black tables and chairs in the center of the room, offering space for corporate types to meet over coffee and discuss work. Classic, white columns connect the lower ground-level to the exposed upper-level, where gray booths and tables set with orange chairs provide additional seating. A smaller seating area is decorated with an orange-and-white Eero Aarnio Ball chair near a shelf stocked with board games for guest use. Bar 7 Blings has live music on weekends, and a posh-gothic vibe with carved wooden columns and beautiful stained-glass windows. Guests can get a meal in a trendy space at Kitzens, a modern restaurant with edgy decor including whimsical orange lights and busy patterned carpeting.

Radisson Blu Plaza is located down the street (less than five minutes' walk) from the Helsinki Central Railway Station, making it convenient for guests arriving from and departing for other parts of Finland. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it’s a short walk of under 10 minutes to the shopping district. Esplanadi Park is also less than a 10-minute walk. The airport is around a 25-minute drive or about 40 minutes by bus from Kamppi station, less than 10 minutes walk southwest. 

Rooms were renovated in 2012 and are modern and crisp, with wooden floors, white bedding, and simple white furniture. Pillows, curtains, and headboards in a variety of colors punch up the otherwise minimally decorated spaces. All rooms are air-conditioned and have minibars, safes, flat-screen TVs, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and touch-screens allowing guests to, among other things, request ear plugs or foot massagers. Guests find the foam mattresses comfortable. All rooms have coffee/tea kettles, and Business Class rooms have Nespresso coffee machines. Rooms with private saunas are available.

Not sure about bathrooms as we don't have photos and website doesn't say. 

Guests staying in Business Class rooms and Suites have access to free coffee, fruit, and snacks in the Plaza Lounge, and also receive the breakfast buffet for free, including a variety of hot and cold items. Guests staying in Standard Rooms receive a Grab and Run breakfast. Kitzens Restaurant serves spins on classic dishes, as well as guest-designed dishes, while Bar 7 Blings offers a lengthy wine list and creative cocktails, plus live music on weekends. Plaza H.U.B. is open 24 hours and serves snacks, pastries, coffee, and drinks. The hotel has a fitness center with a treadmill, exercise bike, and free weights. Yoga mats and stress balls are available for in-room use, and the hotel rents bikes, weather-permitting. There are five meeting rooms accommodating up to 80 guests for business travelers.
