Hotel LBP

Inside a tall, blue building, the sleek front desk at Hotel LBP is in a bright, white space with sparkling overhead lighting, clear, plastic chairs, and a funky, white sofa. The adjacent lounge area looks like a small cafe with plastic white and black chairs where guests, (predominantly couples) can sit and enjoy the free refreshments such as coffee, muffins, and fresh fruit. A bookshelf is stocked with magazines and books for guests to read in the room, and there are also DVDs for the adjoining theater room which has a wall-mounted flat-screen TV and a long, white couch. The outdoor terrace is a pretty space with yellow flowers in planters and wicker furniture with decorative pillows under an umbrella. Exposed ductwork and pipes give the restaurant a somewhat industrial feel, while lime green chairs and blue walls add a cheery vibe to the space. Overall the hotel's atmosphere is sleek, minimal, and a touch romantic. 

Hotel LBP is located in the northwest of Hong Kong in the Sheung Wan area. It’s a 10-minute walk to the Sheung Wan MTR station, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The entertainment district of SoHo is within walking distance as well as the Hong Kong and Macau Ferry Terminal. It’s around a 30-minute ride on public transportation to the Avenue of the Stars and a half hour drive to Hong Kong International Airport. 

Like most rooms in the area, some of the rooms at Hotel LBP are on the small side. Rooms are contemporary with blue-and-brown striped curtains and bed runners in a matching color scheme. Furnishings include black and white desks with metal work lamps, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges. Rooms also have electric kettles, and free bottled water is a nice touch. Bathrooms are sleek with slate-colored floors, frosted glass walls, and generous amenity kits. All come standard with free Wi-Fi, but some guests have complained about the number of electrical outlets not being adequate. 

The hotel provides a free breakfast including cooked items, fresh fruit, and yogurt, but the breakfast area can get busy, meaning guests may have to wait in line to eat. There’s a restaurant and bar on-site, and a comfy lounge with free coffee, tea, and refreshments along with a bookshelf stocked with magazines and books. The hotel has a small fitness center with a treadmill, stationary bike, hand weights, and a resistance machine. There’s also library of DVDs and a small theater room with a wall-mounted TV. The hotel’s Internet corner has two laptops, and there’s a multi-function room available for meetings. Wi-Fi throughout is free.
