Regal Kowloon Hotel

The four-pearl Regal Kowloon Hotel is hard to miss with a facade illuminated by bright, colorful LED light strips that extend the length of the hotel's 12 stories of rooms and suites. But beyond its flashy exterior, the property offers a refined feel with marble stairs, golden banisters, and a statuette and chandelier lighting over the entry stairway. The lobby is simple but feels high-end with white marble floors, golden ceiling accents, and a golden reception desk. Built in 1982, the hotel's decor can feel somewhat dated in style, though it's all well maintained with few signs of wear and tear. With its excellent location and spacious rooms, the property appeals to a mix of business and leisure travelers.

In the bustling tourist and shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui on the south end of Kowloon Peninsula, the Regal Kowloon Hotel is located in close proximity to a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. The main entrance to the building faces a pedestrianized outdoor terrace called Centenary Garden, which means the area is a little less packed than other parts of Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel is a four-minute walk to the Sha Tsui East train station, a 20-minute walk (or bus ride) to the Star Ferry, and a half-hour ride by car or taxi to Hong Kong International Airport. The decor features subdued, neutral color schemes with tasteful furnishings that feel high end, if somewhat generic. Rooms are clean and well maintained with wall-to-wall carpeting, off-white walls, dark wood furniture, and a large headboard that extends up to an accent wall. Couches and chairs are fresh white and modern, with clean, sleek lines or simple button-tufting. Rooms include desks, mirrors, sitting areas, and small wardrobes with safes. Flat-screen satellite TVs feature 30 channels with pay-per-view movies available, and air-conditioning units are individually controlled. Sofa beds are available in suites. Rooms have electric kettles, minibars, and a small selection of snacks. Bathrooms are fully tiled in black and beige and feature large vanity sinks, shower/tub combos with rainfall showerheads, individual toiletries, and hairdryers. Rooms may have views of the outdoor terrace/courtyard or the city. The hotel offers turndown service and 24-hour room service.
