All rooms at Whalers Cove have large balconies with gorgeous views.
All rooms at Whalers Cove have large balconies with gorgeous views. This one-bedroom suite has a view of the rocky shoreline below. Oceanfront rooms not only have views from the balcony but from the bedroom, living room, and bathroom as well. The large wooden deck on this one-bedroom cottage juts out over the sea. The aptly named Premier Verandah Suite is literally at the water's edge. All of the rooms at Turtle Bay have ocean views, thanks to the building's pinwheel shape. It's worth upgrading to the Deluxe Oceanfront Room, which has a larger balcony with a table and chairs. In the secluded North Shore, no other buildings are around to block the incredible views. The enormous terrace at Geejam's Drum and Bass Villa has a stunning view of the lush countryside and the sea. The Ska Villa terrace is surrounded by banana trees, dense hibiscus, and wildflowers. Given its somewhat isolated location (there are no other high-rise hotels within about a half-mile of the resort), the Royal Lahaina has rooms in its 12-story main tower with unbeatable views of the ocean and the Kaanapali area. The Oceanfront Room comes with a stunning panorama of the pool, the tranquil beach, and the unbelievably blue ocean. Designed by fashion-industry icon Oscar de la Renta, the massive, columned terraces at Tortuga Bay feel like they've fallen out of a copy of Vogue. Each suite at Tortuga Bay has a large balcony or patio, most of which have a direct ocean view. Broad doors and windows allow the tropical air to pour in, yet a powerful air-conditioning system can be turned on to cool the place in minutes. The stylish balcony of an Oceanview Deluxe Room Oceanview Deluxe Rooms overlook Poipu Beach. View of Poipu Beach from the Deluxe Oceanfront Room The Presidential Suite has a huge balcony with a majestic view. All but 13 of the 102 units at this 40-story condo tower have open views of the ocean. All of the Aston Mahana's condos have exceptional oceanfront views and large decks. The quality of the 215 individually-owned condos varies widely, though. The Oceanfront Suite offers a bird's eye view of the calm, swimmable beach directly in front of the hotel. The Deluxe Golf View Room at Fairmont Turberry Isle Resort & Club comes with a spacious balcony overlooking the award-winning golf course. Views from Ocean View Rooms are gorgeous, but the building can get in the way of the ocean. Guests staying at this Ocean View Room also have an impressive view of Diamond Head. The balcony of this Ocean View Room gives guests a view of Diamond Head to one side and the beach to the other. Not bad. All rooms have some view of the ocean, and as you can see, even the "partial ocean view" isn't too bad. Views from the Grand Wailea's roomy balconies range from the mountains to the resort gardens to the ocean. But in Wailea, there's very little rain throughout the year, so you're likely at least to see a great blue sky. The Napua Club Room looks out over the resort's 40 acres of prime beachfront property and a wide expanse of ocean. The standard guestrooms at Round Hill have back walls that opens to large, wood planked terraces overlooking the ocean. Villa 16 at Round Hill is farther from the sea, but it still has stunning views of rolling hills. Villa 6 has a broad, colonial-style porch. Oceanfront suites with wraparound decks, like the Kiloahana Suite, are the hotel's best -- and priciest. Views vary by room type, but this Deluxe Ocean Suite has stunning views. These massive, ground-floor balconies come with plenty of seating options and, in some rooms, a private pool. Some rooms feature private, outdoor Jacuzzi tubs on their terraces. Bamboo wind chimes help set a peaceful vibe. Tensing Pen's 17 cottages are unique and charming, and some have wooden terraces with comfortable cushioned lounge chairs and views of the sea. Hotel Wailea's 72 one-bedroom suites have the same layout, and the vast majority have the same decor; the only thing that differentiates them is their view. This is the view from the One Bedroom Ocean View Suite. The ocean beckons from the small window in the bedroom of this One Bedroom Ocean View Suite as well as from the balcony. The decor of this Imperial Suite terrace evokes British colonial times, with black-and-white checkered floors and white columns. The remarkable ocean-view terrace off of this Hibiscus Suite is divine; guests can watch the waves lap the beach while breakfasting at the table, or relaxing in the lounge chairs. The view from a Park Shore Oceanfront Room Even though the hotel is across the street from the beach, the Oceanfront room delivers spectacular views. Some of the rooms are pretty outdated, but the views and the quiet location make this friendly, 226-room high-rise budget hotel worth considering for couples pinching their pennies. A view of Diamond Head from inside the hotel's Diamond Head Suite From the balcony of the Diamond Head Suite, you get a view of the ocean to your right and Diamond Head to the left. There's no need to pay out the nose for a spacious terrace with a view. Negril Treehouse Cottages is one of the best values in Jamaica, and the balcony at this two-bedroom ocean view suite has a hammock, a table and four chairs, and most importantly views of the ocean and the gorgeous Seven Mile Beach. It is a budget hotel, though, with outdated decor and few amenities. The Regent Bal Harbour suites are among the biggest rooms in Miami, and their balconies are among the most sizable in the city as well. The 510-square-foot studios feature 72-square-foot balconies, and the various suites, like this one-bedroom executive suite, come with large terraces and panoramic views of the ocean. Room views at the Marriott Wailea range from the resort grounds to the ocean. Every room has a furnished balcony. Renovated in 2008, the Marriott's spiffy rooms, gorgeous adult-only infinity pool, reputable spa, and a popular restaurant make it one of the best midrange options for couples in Wailea. Like most terraces at Agua Resort, the one in this Garden-View Suite has direct access to the narrow, serpentine pool that winds its way through half of the property. Every room at the Agua comes with a terrace that is large enough for a table, two beautifully carved wooden chairs, and a linen love seat. Balcony on an Oceanfront Room Low-rise Oceanfront Room condo units close to the water overlook part of the north shore. Almost all of the rooms at Moxons look out over the sea, but guests in Super Deluxe King Rooms can view it from large, private balconies. Every room at the Naplili Kai Beach Resort has an ocean view at this low-key, low-rise condo-hotel in serene Napili Bay. The pools are small, the gym is run-down, and the rooms could use renovation, but it's still a gem for travelers intent on quiet, beachside relaxation. All rooms have private, tiled balconies; 80 percent of which have some sort of ocean view (like the Oceanview King Room pictured here). Because the resort was built on the edge of Black Rock, the Deluxe Oceanfront Room has the most incredible view in all of Kaanapali. View from a Deluxe Ocean Room Colorful Waikiki Beach, as seen from the balcony of a Deluxe Ocean Room This Ocean View Room looks over Kalapaki Beach and the island's largest pool. The broad balconies at Le Meridien Sunny Isles Beach have remakarkable, lofty views of the sea. This 360-room condo-hotel has few amenities, and most guests come for one reason: its superb Kaanapali location. Painted lime green and magenta, the bright, very private balconies at the Rockhouse Hotel have wooden deck chairs and views of the sea. The balcony on this two-bedroom condo overlooks the hotel grounds and, to the left, the ocean. Couples will like the property's top-tier spa and luxe accommodations, but on-site dining is slim and the beach is unremarkable. View from the balcony of a two-bedroom condo The balconies are angled for an ocean view in every room, but the decor is outdated and the beds aren't high quality. It has several popular restaurants, though, and it's in the heart of the action on one of Waikiki's best beaches. The terrace off of the New York Palace's Triplex Suite is larger than some New York City apartments -- but be prepared to pay a royal fee. Most rooms have balconies with new furniture, and it's definitely worth springing for one with a direct ocean view. Our reporter's partial ocean view looked out over the roof of the lobby and a parking garage, with only a sliver of ocean to the left. All rooms with balconies come at an extra charge, and prices differ according to the view (which can be of South Beach, Biscayne Bay, or both). Kalohilani Tower is located closer to the ocean than Paokalani Tower, making for better views from the balconies. The pretty, white-banistered balconies off of the Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Leventado are enormous and have ocean views -- but they're not entirely private, as the spaces are separated only by short balustrades. Most rooms at this beachfront boutique come with a balcony, but an upgrade from the cramped standard rooms is worth it. Amenities are limited, but The Hau Tree Lanai is a great date restaurant with charming setting on the hotel's back porch beneath the weathered branches of a hau tree.
