Venice The Save: Hotel Al Sole Walking into the Hotel Al Sole feels like something out of a Venice daydream. The 15th century building is infused with everything visitors to the city would expect, from the brick walls, to the charming courtyard, to the canal views. That being said, the rooms are nothing to fawn over (especially at their price): Generic bedspreads, cheap rattan furniture, and tiny flat-screen TVs are some of the low points. The stocked minibars and canal views are helpful in looking past these faults, though, as is the hotel's great location near Venice's popular sights.
