Bottom Line

The adult-only Ibiza Rocks is a mid-range party haven with music pumping by the pool and live events throughout the week. Thanks to two pools, two restaurants and bars, a supermarket, and merchandise shop, guests don't need to venture outside of the hotel grounds. The 368 rooms are spacious and modern, outfitted with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and balconies, but fess are required for safes and air-conditioning. Couples and adults who aren't keen on the raucous environment here might find Bellamar Hotel to be a better option.

Ibiza Rocks Hotel

Scene

Adult-only hotel with a party and music focus

Walking up the street to Ibiza Rocks, one might think they're entering a concert venue rather than a hotel. The hotel's outdoor signage mimics a cinema light box and there are big gates, security, and turnstiles. It all fits with the music and party-centric theme of this adult-only spot. Inside, the space resembles a greenhouse with its glass ceiling and big potted plants throughout. Unlike the mostly black-and-white rooms, the lobby and reception area have a bit more color, granite and marble flooring, and some quirky furnishing -- such as the bathtub-couch hybrids. Bright posters and signage for upcoming shows are also sprinkled throughout, adding pops of color to the space. This is definitely a party-focused hotel, and the live DJ sets throughout the week keeps guests on-site until nighttime revelry elsewhere.

Location

Party spots on-site and just a quick walk away, too

Though the party seemingly never stops at Ibiza Rocks Hotel, there are also some famous hot spots in the area that are on most guests' must-see lists. Cafe Del Mar (seven minutes), Cafe Mambo (eight minutes), Es Paradis (13 minutes), Eden (14 minutes), and Ocean Beach (24 minutes) are all within a manageable walking distance from the hotel. Some of Ibiza's best-known beaches are near the hotel, too. S'Arenal de San Antonio is 16 minutes away by foot, while Playa de s'Estanyol takes roughly 30 minutes by car.

Rooms

Rooms are modern and spacious, but air-conditioning costs extra

The rock style of this hotel definitely carries over into its monochrome room decor. Rooms are spacious with basic furniture, and are nearly all jet black, save the white walls and bedding in various hues. Framed photos of musicians on stage adorn the walls. Rooms have either furnished patios or balconies, but views vary. In addition to the beds, rooms have daybeds, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and mini-fridges. The safes and air-conditioning cost extra, however. Modern bathrooms are well-sized and keep with the monochrome theme. They're outfitted in sleek slate-gray tile, with walk-in showers, hairdryers, and free toiletries.

Features

Two pools, an on-site supermarket, and a merch shop, too

Guests won't have to leave the Ibiza Rocks Hotel if they don't want to. There are two pools -- the main pool is where the party scene is, while the Tropicana Pool provides more of a laid-back lounging vibe. Both have ample plastic white loungers, but no umbrellas. Throughout the week, DJs perform at the main pool. The hotel lacks a gym, however. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.

Two restaurants and two bars include a Mexican eatery and a spot serving American and British fare. Both restaurants serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, but a lobby bar and poolside bar mean guests never have to wait long for a drink. An on-site supermarket sells all the basics, and the merchandise shop sells everything from clothes to flip flops -- most of which are emblazoned with Ibiza Rocks.
