Bottom Line

Invisa Hotel Ereso is a 240-room, two-and-a-half-pearl all-inclusive located a short walk from a sandy beach in quiet Es Canar. With a gated kids' pool, splash park, a kids’ club, daily kid-friendly entertainment, and a playground, the hotel is a natural pick for families. But it has a good buffet restaurant, two pools, competitive rates, and an overall relaxed atmosphere that draws plenty of couples too. Room decor and amenities are basic, but the hotel offers good value for money, with competitive rates year-round, a convenient location near the beach and the city center, and nice on-site features. Grounds and rooms are kept spotless, and service is friendly and efficient.

Invisa Hotel Ereso

Scene

A family-friendly all-inclusive a couple of blocks from the beach

Es Canar is known for being one of Ibiza’s most family-friendly areas. The vibe at the Ereso is relaxed and mostly quiet, although the hotel’s popular entertainment lasts until midnight in the main pool area, and poolside rooms can get noise into the late evening. The lobby is large and bright, with several seating areas.

Location

A short walk from the beach, restaurants and bars

Invisa Hotel Ereso is located on the corner of two quiet streets, about two blocks from tiny Es Canar’s center. There is a shop selling beach gear and souvenirs across the street, but the property is almost on the edge of the village, and there is nothing but green areas west of the hotel. Es Canar’s main beach is down the street, and Cala Nova is within a 10-minute walk. There’s a third smaller, even quieter stretch of sand a short drive east along the coast. Unlike other parts of Ibiza, Es Canar is mostly quiet, drawing families and couples looking to spend a relaxing vacation. The Wednesday street market is the most popular on the island, and it's within walking distance. The airport is a 35-minute drive away.

Rooms

Basic and dated -- but clean and with air-conditioning

The hotel has 240 bright air-conditioned rooms, most featuring furnished balconies overlooking either the street or the pool area. Decor is basic and dated, with simple wooden furniture, thin patterned bedspreads and colorful striped curtains. Most units were upgraded in 2015, and now have flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, air-conditioning, and ceiling fans -- but a few still have tiny tube-style TV sets. Safes and Wi-Fi come with a fee. Rooms overlooking the pool get plenty of sun but also noise from children running around during the day, and from the live shows that last until midnight, so light sleepers may want to request street-facing units.

Features

Two pools, a great buffet restaurant, two bars, a tennis court, and plenty of kid-friendly amenities

The hotel has two medium-size pools, including one with a gated kids' section. An additional splash park for toddlers was added after our visit. There are plenty of loungers around both pools, and a few others dot the lawns behind the main deck. The restaurant serves a buffet spread for all three meals, but the snack bar has a limited selection. Nightly entertainment takes place on the stage adjacent to the main pool, and guests can also have a quiet nightcap in the lobby bar. The hotel offers an array of family-friendly amenities, including a playground, a kids’ club with activities, and entertainment for children a few nights a week. There is a tennis court complete with goals for soccer games -- but there's no fitness center. Wi-Fi is available throughout for a fee.
