ME Ibiza

Formerly S’Argamassa Hotel, the ME Ibiza is housed in a boxy white building with glass balconies and wooden decks on the ground floor. A striking silver textured entrance adorned with a red-lacquered contemporary sculpture and several wooden pieces of art opens onto an airy open lobby with piped in lounge music. Wicker ceilings, LED lighting, minimalist decor, and egg-shaped hanging chairs make the space modern and chic, while untreated wooden elements and a large white cage with colorful birds give it an exotic feel. A DJ console separates the lobby from the lively bar area, which has an outdoor lounge with boho-chic decor and pool views. The adjacent restaurant has a similar vibe and decor, with clean lines, iron-and-wood tables, ceiling fans, and rustic bulrush chairs. The property has several perks for families -- including a kids’ club and a kids' pool tucked away in a quiet area -- but with a relaxing vibe and on-site events such as fashion shows and DJ sessions, it's best suited to adults. 

The hotel is located directly overlooking the sea in a tranquil area between quiet Santa Eulalia and family-friendly Es Canar. The nearest beach is small, rocky, and can get a lot of seaweed, but there are several nicer stretches of sand within a 15-minute walk of the hotel. Although famous Nikki Beach beach club is directly adjacent to the property and noise can sometimes carry, the area is mostly residential and quiet. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, but guests can find a wider selection of dining and shopping options in Santa Eulalia or Es Canar. (Aguas de Ibiza has a more central location in Santa Eulalia, but it's not right next to a beach, as ME Ibiza is.) Playa d’en Bossa and Ibiza Town can be reached in about 25 minutes by car, and the airport is a half-hour drive away.

The hotel’s 179 rooms and 26 suites all have stylish all-white minimalist decor, smokey-grey laminate floors, two twin beds (sometimes pushed together), and large windows overlooking the grounds or the sea. Some of the lower-tier rooms are small, but open bathrooms, clean lines, and white furniture add the appearance of space. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs, minibars, mood lighting, sound systems, Apivita or Aveda toiletries, air-conditioning and safes with built-in plugs for laptops and phones. While only a few regular rooms have balconies, suites have spacious furnished terraces, and some have long, skinny private pools. Suites have separate soaking tubs as well as Nespresso coffee machines, partial or full sea views, living areas, and extra perks such as butlers and free use of video game consoles on request. Bathrooms are separated from the main rooms only by cabinets and drawers, and have spacious sink areas with big mirrors. Walk-in showers have glass doors with a frosted stripe for privacy, but the lack of a shade may make some guests uncomfortable. 

The ME Ibiza has a hip adult-only rooftop terrace complete with panoramic views, an infinity pool, cabanas for rent and a restaurant and bar serving seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. Salt & Sea is the hotel’s other restaurant, serving a decent regional menu as well as pizzas and snacks. The adjacent bar has DJ sessions, poolside seating and a big drink menu that includes beer, wines, cocktails, smoothies, and coffee. With house music playing until late at night, free towel service, and dozens of lounge chairs, the pool is the most popular spot during the day. The atmosphere here is quiet and relaxing, but there is a kids' pool tucked away in a separate area where kids car run around and splash without bothering other guests. Additionally, the kids’ club keeps children busy with lots of outdoor activities and a games room. 

The fitness center has a wide array of cardio and strength-training machines and large windows that let in lots of natural light. Free yoga classes are available daily, and private sessions are available on request. SkinC Spa offers face and body treatments with bespoke products. Massages are available on the rooftop terrace or at the wellness center on the ground floor. The hotel also offers two flexible meeting rooms, and high-end services including a private boat for day trips, airport transfer services, and even a private jet with crew. Parking is free, as is Wi-Fi.
