Hotel Mirador de Dalt Vila, a 1904 town house built within the old walled quarter of Dalt Via, is one of the most luxuriously romantic boutique properties in Ibiza. The 12 beautifully decorated rooms spare no attention to detail, incorporating seven types of marble in keeping with the style of the original building, while adding free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and hydromassage tubs in the marble bathrooms. There's a small outdoor swimming pool, and services include free round-trip airport transfers, a private yacht for day trips, and a butler who'll unpack your bags. While the hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and art galleries, be aware that the nearest beach is a 10-minute drive away.
The 112-room Aguas de Ibiza is a luxury pick a short walk from the beach in quiet Santa Eulalia. Big, contemporary rooms offer Bang & Olufsen plasma TVs, free Wi-Fi, and pillow menus, and some have sea views and standalone tubs on the terrace. This sleek property offers a great spa with hydrotherapy areas, treatment cabins, and salon services; a Mediterranean restaurant; a well-equipped fitness center with group classes, and meeting rooms. The highlight here, however, is the rooftop area, complete with a hopping bar, tapas restaurant by celeb chef Sergi Arola, small pool, and panoramic views. Just note that some common spaces are showing wear and tear, and that a few rooms have views of a parking lot.
Set on a farm about a 10-minute drive outside of Port de Sant Miguel in Ibiza, Agroturismo Sa Vinya d’en Palerm is a natural pick for those looking for quiet. Its five rooms are rustic and charming, and all have unique details and amenities such as hydromassage showers or tubs, furnished patios, and four-poster beds. There are a small restaurant offering a seasonal menu made with produce grown on-site, a lovely pool with padded loungers, and a room for yoga, Pilates, and meditation classes. Freebies such as breakfast, loaner bikes, Wi-Fi, and parking add value. Those who want to be on the water in Port de Sant Miguel can expect to pay significantly more for this caliber of property.
With no official website and a secluded location on the southwestern side of Ibiza near San Jose village, the adult-only Can Xuxu is a hidden gem. Discerning couples are drawn to this high-end property for its quiet, intimate vibe, exclusive yet laid-back atmosphere, and gorgeous decor, much of it Asian inspired. Most of the 12 rooms are in the main building, but Suites are housed in beautiful wooden Javanese pavilions -- all decorated with artifacts that the owner brought back from his trips round the world. Set at the center of this landscaped tropical property, the lovely pool is surrounded by palm trees and double Balinese daybeds. The beach is not within walking distance, but is within a 10-minute drive.
The 493-room Hard Rock is -- along with neighboring Ushuaïa -- one of a handful of true luxury hotels in Ibiza. With its 16,000-square-foot spa, indoor and outdoor pools, rooms and suites with swim-up pools, five restaurants, Fender guitar rentals, curated playlists, and a Michelin-star chef, the Hard Rock draws a bevy of celebrity guests and well-heeled couples. Although it can be loud and party-oriented, it's also kid-friendly, with the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club, a nursery, and playground. The property, located on Ibiza's largest beach, is visually arresting, and rooms are among the most stylish in the area. Be aware that planes can sometimes be heard landing at the nearby airport.
Located in a quiet area adjacent to famous Nikki Beach club, the 205-room ME Ibiza is one of the chicest properties in this part of the island. Minimalist all-white decor and soft lounge music lend this luxury property a relaxing, cool vibe, while top-notch services such as a private boat for day trips, rooftop massages, adult-only areas, and free yoga classes draw well-heeled couples and groups of friends. Rooms are hip and modern, with flat-screen TVs, mood lighting, minibars and iPod docks, but not all units have balconies and some may find the glass-enclosed showers lacking in privacy. It's also worth comparing rates with the nearby and just as luxurious Aguas de Ibiza, which has a more central location just off of Santa Eulalia’s main promenade.
Directly on a beach in a quiet area of Playa d’en Bossa, the luxurious Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa has a pool with underwater loungers and kiddy section, a buffet restaurant, and daily entertainment. Additionally, it offers guests free access to facilities at neighboring sister property Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa, which has themed restaurants, a fully equipped fitness center, an upscale spa, kids’ and teens’ clubs, and two more pools. The resort’s 430 appealing, contemporary rooms have wooden floors, a bright color palette, and furnished balconies or terraces. Some rooms are a little tight, while units overlooking the bar area can get some noise at night.
The luxury adult-only Ushuaïa is hands down the most stylish place to be for those wanting to be right in the throes of Ibiza’s world-famous nightlife. Not only does it host the best international DJs several times a week but also has all the ingredients for a world-class party-oriented stay, including rooms with DJ turntables, blackout curtains, erotica kits, high-tech amenities, and a striking design, along with two stylish pools; a rooftop bar with some of the best views around; and seven restaurants and bars -- all of which come at some of Ibiza's highest prices.
Hacienda Na Xamena is one of Ibiza’s most luxurious hotels, and is known among locals and visitors alike for its beautiful cascading spa pools offering stunning views. Its 77 large, bright rooms with standalone jetted tubs and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean make it a popular pick among couples celebrating special occasions. But its three pools, three restaurants, small fitness center, and two boats for private day trips draw guests of all kinds and ages. The hotel's remote location atop a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean guarantees peace and quiet -- but guests may want to rent a car to move around as beaches, restaurants, and attractions are all at least a 10-minute drive away.
This 24-room luxury boutique is known for its beautiful gardens dotted with Bali beds and orange trees, and its stylish Asian-inspired decor. Although it is a little busier at times than one might expect of a hotel that advertises itself as an agritourism property, it does offer numerous amenities for a relaxing vacation, including a beautiful spa, a couple of pools, a beach club on Cala Nova, and a gym with group and private yoga and Pilates classes.
Housed in an iconic and charming Art Deco building, the 52-room Hotel Es Vive is a chic, upscale, party property in a quiet area a block from a sandy beach in Ibiza Town. Poolside DJ sessions, a top-notch restaurant, a famous nightclub, and a gorgeous all-white rooftop lounge with panoramic sea views make this one of the most sought-after hotels in Ibiza. Though many rooms are on the small side, decor is stylish, and amenities are up to date, including flat-screen TVs, minibars, free Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning; some have balconies with gorgeous views. All this style and cool atmosphere doesn’t come cheap, but the vast majority of guests agree that the experience is worth every dollar.
