This grand 17th-century Indo-Portuguese property is set within 28 acres of gorgeous tropical gardens, dotted with towering palm trees and lined with winding stone pathways. The property consists of airy whitewashed buildings with high-ceilings and traditional archways, decorated with sleek marble-finish floors, sweeping staircases, and potted green plants. The hotel has a prime location overlooking Bambolim Bay, giving the property an away-from-it-all atmosphere that appeals to a broad range of travelers. There are plenty of quiet spots to chill and take in the views, plus a huge free-form outdoor pool surrounded by padded sun loungers. Restaurants and bars are chic and contemporary, though the dress code is casual and beachy. Most guests are families or couples, though business travelers also stay here. There's not much activity in the immediate area around the hotel and there are no restaurants within walking distance, but the hotel has several on-site dining options. Popular areas like Baga and Anjuna are around a 30-minute drive away, while picturesque Palolem and the laid-back fishing village of Agonda are just under two hours' drive. The hotel is only 30 minutes by car from Goa International Airport, while Thivim Railway Station is a 50-minute drive.   

The 314 rooms and suites at the Grand Hyatt Goa are decorated in an elegant, contemporary style. All are tricked out in neutral tones, smooth floor tiles, high-quality dark wood furniture, and large comfortable beds dressed in luxury linens. Each room has a work desk and separate seating area, with some suites adding extra living space, kitchenettes, hot tubs, and butler service. Each room has a furnished balcony offering lovely views of the ocean or pool.
