Bottom Line

The 19-room Residence Glicini is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood of Finale Ligure. Amenities are basic, but this is a good value pick. Most room types offer kitchens; all have small balconies with herb gardens. Decor is minimal and furniture inexpensive, but after a renovation in 2008, appliances are fresh and of good quality. Although there's no dining or entertainment on-site, this is a well-maintained, family-run property a short walk away from the beach and surrounding commercial area.

Charming, homey residence

This family-run residence provides friendly service; the cheerful appearance is evident immediately upon arrival with the cute flowers and plants that decorate the façade. It’s geared toward families that want to recreate the comfort of home with apartment-style rooms. Since this is not a hotel, the usual features like meeting rooms or dining options aren’t available, leaving little for recreation on-site.The lobby is bright and clean, a commonality throughout the residence, but with little seating. Next to the reception there’s a Kids Corner that has two brightly-colored couches and numerous plush animals to entertain the little ones. It’s a quiet atmosphere that allows travelers to return to their apartment or studio-style rooms after exploring areas outside the hotel.

Location

Nestled in a residential neighborhood close to many attractions

Situated in Finale Ligure, part of the Italian Riviera, this small residence is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Although the immediate street has little for entertainment, guests can walk a short five minutes to reach the sandy beaches. Several dining and commercial shopping options are also a short walk away. Rooms

Basic furniture with bright linens and well-stocked kitchens

The Residence Glicini offers seven room types, which are categorized by letters and all decorated with the same basic wood or plastic furniture. Décor is at a minimum, but the color scheme of orange and yellow runs throughout the hotel, particularly with the bedding and curtains to create a cheerful ambiance. Dining room tables are also covered with fun yellow or floral tablecloths. The sunny atmosphere continues with flower pictures framed on the walls and colorful bath towels. All rooms have a similar small bathroom, which are clean and complete with a walk-in shower. The five rooms that do have a kitchen come with all major appliances and well-stocked kitchenware. The two room apartments are ideal for a family as there’s ample room and supplies to cook meals, including a dishwasher. Each room has a balcony, but the two room Apartment E has a large garden-like terrace with a dining table and chairs under a straw roof.
