Round Hill Hotel and Villas

Hopewell, Montego Bay, Jamaica

Round Hill is phenomenal. Sincere, intimate hospitality; private child care; large, beautifully designed rooms by Ralph Lauren; and breathtaking grounds (to which no photo can do justice) -- it is easily among the best resorts in Jamaica. While it's near Montego Bay, Round Hill Hotel and Villas is a quiet, country club-style property that feels entirely secluded. You'll also score stunning sea views from every room. Amenities include a cliff-side infinity pool and a lovely outdoor spa — all alongside the beautiful, lush greenery around the resorts. The Round Hill Villas all-inclusive package is optional, but worth it, as it covers all meals and drinks, room service, airport transfers, a welcome bottle of bubbly, and even a rafting trip. Paying as you go for all of these services will add up quickly.

2

Excellence Oyster Bay

Falmouth, Jamaica

Situated in the town of Falmouth, west of Montego Bay, Jamaica, this adults-only all-inclusive resort is a relaxed, romantic alternative to the party scene in Mo'Bay. However, it still offers plenty of entertainment options, from evening theater shows to a lively Martini Bar. The resort’s location on its own peninsula overlooking the sea gives it a sense of seclusion, but its distance from airport connections at Sangster International Airport, a 40-minute drive away, make it a convenient option for people making shorter trips to the island. Excellence Oyster Bay rooms are spacious and inviting, with a variety of floor plans and views available. Junior Suite Oceanfront units have front and center views over the Caribbean Sea. Guests willing to spend a little more can get their own plunge pool by booking a Junior Suite with Private Pool, while those wanting to really up the ante can opt for an Excellence Club package, which comes with all sorts of perks, including access to exclusive restaurants, a private reception area, a private beach, and included treatments at the spa. Facilities open to all guests include a variety of restaurants serving everything from Asian fusion fare to steak plus excellent wellness facilities with a full spa menu and a well-equipped gym.

3

The Caves

Negril Jamaica, Jamaica

Arguably Jamaica's most romantic escape, the upscale, adult-only The Caves has 11 private cottages and suites atop dramatic seaside cliffs. The entire property feels bohemian and undiscovered, though make no mistake — this is one of the most popular resorts in Jamaica. The Caves also has one of Jamaica’s best all-inclusive liquor selections. Dining at The Caves is exceptional, and menus are crafted from local, seasonal ingredients. Meals are served in the breezy lounge during breakfast and lunch, and in the cliffside restaurant for dinner. However, for no extra cost, you can arrange dinner by candlelight in a private cave (five courses; reservations required). Just note that there is no sandy beach here (in fact, the Negril region can often be rocky). You'll find The Caves hard to beat in the Negril area, and the resort also made our list of the Caribbean's best all-inclusive resorts.

4

Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica

The best of the three Iberostar resorts in Montego Bay, this 295-room all-suite hotel is light years beyond its neighbors in terms of decor, food, and features. While some elements remain shared with the lesser Iberostar Rose Hall Beach and Iberostar Rose Hall Suites -- for instance, the spa, fitness center, casino, nightclub, and shops -- guests at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall get the pick of the litter with free access to all three resorts’ restaurants, bars, pools, and beaches. The rates might be higher, but for good reason. Keep in mind that kids aren't allowed at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall — if that's a deal breaker check out one of the nearby Half Moon, detailed below.

5

Beaches Negril Resort & Spa

Negril Jamaica, Jamaica

Designed for families with kids and teens, Beaches Negril Resort & Spa is a beautiful property with a wide variety of activities, classes, and events. With a water park, kids' camp, teen hangouts and specialty activities, children have plenty to keep them busy, and adults can enjoy the spa or candlelit dining for two. Contemporary rooms have ocean views and the biggest one sleeps up to 12 people. The location, right on Negril’s Seven Mile Beach, puts the resort a short drive away from the town center and a number of shops, boutiques, and craft markets, as well as restaurants and bars. Since the majority of guests are families, the resort can get noisy, but the hotel is so large that it's possible to find quiet.

6

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall

Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica

Situated well to the east of bustling Montego Bay, Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall is one half of a two-resort beachfront Hyatt compound. Along with its sister property, Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, the two collectively offer a long list of communal amenities, including nearly a dozen restaurants, two large pools, and an oceanfront spa. The quiet, elegant vibe is what most guests would expect of an adult-only Jamaican resort. Each of its 234 rooms features a spacious floor plan and a bright, modern decor. Amenities include fully-stocked minibars, free Wi-Fi, luxurious marble bathrooms, and private balconies or terraces -- many with ocean views. If you're after the same level of service and style, but are traveling with kids, the Hyatt Ziva is a perfect alternative.

7

Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay

Montego Bay, Jamaica

The sprawling Secrets Wild Orchid is one of the more luxurious adult-only all-inclusive resorts in Montego Bay. It has a laundry list of awesome features, including eight restaurants and five bars, plus a host of activities: a theater, a spa, a water sports and dive center, a shopping center, and a casino. Keep in mind that the resort shares virtually all of its amenities with the next-door Secrets St. James, but top-shelf liquor is the norm throughout both properties. However, you'll score nicer rooms at the Wild Orchid, along with a more luxurious vibe. It's worth upgrading to VIP status here and booking a Preferred Club room, as you'll score separate check-in, upgraded minibars, better spots for lounging on the beach, and an exclusive pool. The two beaches here also stay essentially private.

8

Jamaica Inn

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

A small, romantic resort that once drew Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller, the Jamaica Inn is all about quiet luxury -- a wide, soft sand beach; an al fresco dining terrace; and a stunning, sea-view spa. The 48 beautiful suites and cottages include free Wi-Fi, high-end bathrooms, and water-view balconies (some with private plunge pools), and the lack of TVs and radios preserves the quiet, unplugged vibe. This is not the place to party -- the whole resort typically shuts down by midnight, for the most part. The all-inclusive plan is highly regarded by past guests, though it will cost a pretty penny. But if you're looking to unplug without having to think about your drinks and meals, but don't want to post up at the nearby Ocho Rios mega-resorts, the Jamaica Inn is one of the best options on the island.

9

Moon Palace Jamaica

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Set on a private beach within a short walk of downtown Ocho Rios, the 705-room Moon Palace Jamaica is a sprawling all-inclusive that’d give Vegas joints a run for their money in scale, features, and extravagance. After undergoing a full renovation in 2015 (and still looking fresh), the resort is now flush with majestic marble interiors that create a luxurious setting. Moon Palace Jamaica has sleek beach-house-inspired rooms have balconies with water views, and include iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, liquor dispensers, and welcome wine. There are four restaurants, multiple bars, four swimming pools, free non-motorized water sports, a world-class spa with 23 treatment rooms, a surf machine, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

10

Half Moon

Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica

One of the original resorts along Jamaica's north coast, Half Moon feels as big as its reputation. And that's a good thing. The massive resort sprawls across its manicured beachfront landscape in a way that gives everything and everyone plenty of space — from the beach to the tennis courts and everywhere in between. The look is colonial, and varies from classic to entirely modern depending on where you find yourself in the resort. Everything from a gorgeous spa to a new natural juice bar, updated fitness amenities, and even massive villas that are a perfect splurge for families or friend get-togethers make this a must-stay spot. Drinks at the west-facing bar are a must, as well, especially at sunset. The all-inclusive plan at Half Moon is optional, unlike other Montego Bay area resorts, but we recommend going for it as paying as you go will add up quickly.

11

Secrets St. James Montego Bay

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Secrets St. James is a slightly less luxe resort than its sister property, Secrets Wild Orchid, but it's still a great option nonetheless. It also happens to have slightly lower rates than its posh neighbor (while sharing many of the amenities). Secrets St. James features a laundry list of property features, including 10 restaurants, eight bars, an expansive spa, nearly half a mile of beach, and tons of activities: a theater, dive center, shopping plaza, casino, and game room. Like all Secrets properties, upgrading to Preferred Club status will score you tons of extra perks, like upgraded minibars, separate check-in, and an exclusive pool.

12

Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa

Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica

The Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa is one of the nicest resorts to be found a 15-minute drive from Montego Bay's Hip Strip. This all-inclusive hotel offers an excellent list of amenities, including an immaculate private beach, a spa, and plenty of adult- and kid-friendly features (lazy river, anyone?). However, the Hilton's Sugar Mill Falls Water Park -- Jamaica’s largest -- distinguishes the Hilton from other area resorts. The 488 rooms are sharp and contemporary, with large flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and private balconies. There are numerous dining options, ranging from buffets to Italian and local fare, and top-shelf drinks can be scored at many of the bars.

13

Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma

Negril Jamaica, Jamaica

The Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma is a modern all-inclusive that lines beautiful Seven Mile Beach. The resort's 285 rooms are sharp and spacious -- with furnished terraces, sea views, and swim-up suites. You'll also find four pools, great dining options, a pretty stretch of beach, and a top-notch spa and fitness center. It also equally caters to couples as well as families, and has kid-friendly pools plus a kids' club and other activities. If children have a little too much energy for you, have no fear as the resort has adults-only sections as well. Several restaurants serve a wide range of cuisines, from local Jamaican fare to Thai, and there's great nighttime entertainment as well. Overall, the Azul Beach Resort Negril a hip spot that ups the all-inclusive game in the Negril region.

14

Hideaway At Royalton Negril

Negril Jamaica, Jamaica

The upbeat Hideaway at Royalton Negril is an elevated adults-only property that caters to travelers who like a good time alongside their relaxation. The highlight here is buzzing main pool overlooking two beaches — it's definitely high-energy for most of the day (and also stays adults-only, as it's not shared with the other neighboring Royalton properties). You'll also find direct access to popular snorkeling spots and plenty of daytime activities (plus a nightclub, for those who don't want to rest). A dozen restaurants and bars are shared with the neighboring Royalton properties, ranging from Italian to Asian and steakhouse options. Modern and elegant rooms are outfitted in soft hues, and come with jetted tubs, furnished terraces, free Wi-Fi, and minibars.

15

Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa

Negril Jamaica, Jamaica

Located along Negril’s beautiful Seven Mile Beach, the large, but laid-back Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa is a nice couples-only option. You'll find open-air dining, a variety of water and land sports, and enough entertainment and relaxation options to keep everyone happy and relaxed. The resort is a bit removed from the larger strip of hotels and cottages along the highway, but is still close enough to popular local attractions and shops to give guests looking to explore the area easy access to the downtown area.

16

Sunset at the Palms

Negril Jamaica, Jamaica

Across the street from the beach in the Negril area, the Sunset at the Palms has a warm, helpful staff, intimate setting, and great food -- all of which create a relaxing retreat that's a far cry from the crowded chaos at most all-inclusives. We especially like the treehouse-inspired rooms, the intimate pool with swim-up bar, and the themed nights at the buffet. You're not coming here for a barrage of activities day and night, but if you'd like a nice all-inclusive without the hassle of huge crowds, Sunset at the Palms is a great pick. Keep in mind that it's for adults only, and is designed for mellow couples or small groups.

17

Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort and Private Island

Montego Bay, Jamaica

For adult guests who want to enjoy an all-inclusive experience but prefer a resort that’s a bit smaller and more private, Sandals Royal Caribbean makes a great choice. With a number of small beaches and a private island, the resort feels intimate and secluded even though it’s a short drive to both the airport and downtown Montego Bay. It also happens to have some of the only overwater bungalows in Jamaica. Restaurants cater to all tastes, from a romantic French restaurant to a laid-back British style pub to snacks on the beach, and premium alcohol is unlimited. Guests can also dine at restaurants and partake in activities at the other two Sandals resorts nearby, and on-site activities and entertainment are also extensive.

18

Beaches Ocho Rios Resort & Golf Club

Boscobel, Jamaica

The all-inclusive Beaches Ocho Rios Resort & Golf Club is one of the most kid-friendly hotels in Jamaica, offering an video game garage for teens and tweens, as well as Camp Sesame (full of Sesame Street characters), a great water park, and babysitting services. There are activities for adults too, with golf and scuba lessons, a nice spa, and an adult-only piano bar. Since the majority of guests are families, the resort can be noisy. Like all beaches properties, you're coming here for the wealth of amenities on offer with your all-inclusive rates. Even so, the rooms have a modern look that sets this apart from some of the other all-inclusives around Ocho Rios.

19

Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Located right on the beach in Montego Bay, Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa is a family-friendly all-inclusive with a laid-back vibe and colonial-style interiors. Property features are focused on relaxation and light-hearted fun, with free non-motorized water activities such as kayaks and Hobie Cats and an excellent spa with a mineral pool and a Himalayan salt lounge. Guests here get unlimited access to all six restaurants along with premium liquor and fresh juices in the spa. The resort is also a popular wedding spot, with special packages for ceremonies big and small. However, the Jewel Grande is best suited to families, offering big rooms with kitchens and washers and dryers plus a playground and a kids’ club.

20

Couples Swept Away

Negril Jamaica, Jamaica

As its name might suggest, the Couples Swept Away is restricted to couples ages 18 and up. And while it's not small, this 312-room all-inclusive resort manages to stay peaceful and is on one of Jamaica's best beaches (Seven Mile Beach, in Negril). Modern rooms, quality food, and a low-key atmosphere make this a great pic for honeymooning couples or any couple celebrating a special occasion. Don't come here for the nightlife, but instead to relax on a beautiful stretch of beach and enjoy the relatively well-liked food and drink options that are part of the all-inclusive plan.
