Bottom Line

This property was significantly impacted by Hurricane Irma in September 2017 and is currently closed for repairs. The property is not accepting reservations through March 31, 2018. The Orbit One Vacation Villas is a mid-range condo community of 116 two-bedroom, two-bath units with fully equipped kitchens and washer/dryers. The property is off highway 192, with Walt Disney World, Epcot, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios all within a 15-minute drive. There's sports courts and lovely outdoor pools, one with a water umbrella and kid-friendly slides, but the condos have a dated tropical decor, along with stained carpets and worn sofas. There is a mandatory daily resort fee for Wi-Fi and equipment rental. There's no on-site restaurant.

Orbit One Vacation Villas

Scene

Dated decor, but plenty of kid-friendly features and is near Walt Disney World

Modern hanging lights brighten up an otherwise dull, tired-looking lobby, while brown wicker chairs are arranged in front of large windows in the breakfast room. The two styles looked mismatched, and the stained carpet and tired-looking tile indicate that some updating is needed. Faded red armchairs, purple couches, and yellow walls populate the lobby, along with some contemporary artwork mixed in. The dimly lit breakfast room with green laminate tables and brown wood chairs could also use a refresh.

Rooms

Old-style tropical theme; fully equipped kitchens and washer/dryers

All two-bedroom/two-bathroom condos have balconies with seating, and fully equipped kitchens with white or black appliances, including coffeemakers, blenders, toasters, and washer/dryers. Dining areas have wood chairs with pineapples carved into the backs, while the living room has funky-colored curtains and wicker chairs, and flat-screen TVs. Green walls and tan bed runners filter through bedrooms, which have white bed frames and ceiling fans. Their tan carpets are stained, and TVs are tube-style. Master bathrooms are large, and include big jetted tubs, and some have rainfall showerheads and dark granite countertops. All bathrooms come with Terra Green toiletries. Dated pink tile and walls, and worn tired couches mar common areas though, and many of the bedrooms have stained tan carpets.

Features

Outdoor pool with waterslides and large hot tub; sports courts, a fitness center, and playground on the property

A kidney-bean-shaped outdoor pool is surrounded by a brick deck and black lounge chairs with faded green umbrellas, while another pool has blue waterslides, a big hot tub, and a children’s splash area with a large water umbrella. The on-site fitness center is snug, but it does have a range of cardio and weight machines. Two tennis courts are well-maintained, with overhead lights, and there is a basketball half court and a sand volleyball court. The playground has slides and climbing equipment, and there is a game room with air hockey and arcade machines. Wi-Fi is included in the daily resort fee, as are sports equipment rentals and use of the fitness center.
