This BEST WESTERN resort resembles a small village comprised of Tudor-inspired buildings with A-frame roofs. Brick paths lined with rose bushes and greenery run between buildings across the grounds, which include a small putting green, an outdoor pool, and a series of outdoor games, including a half-sized basketball court. Inside, the lobby’s main feature is a tall, stack-stone fireplace offset by sleek abstract art hanging on the walls, contemporary armchairs and couches circling the fire, and tile floors, all awash in an elegant cream and gray color palette. Both of the on-site restaurants -- Arthur’s and Garfield’s -- are casual and welcoming, with a mix of circular lounges and wooden tables paired with warm, low-hanging light fixtures. The overall atmosphere is one of upscale comfort and class, and the hotel clearly tries to cater equally to families and business travelers.

Situated a couple of miles north of historic downtown Lancaster, the property is located off of a busy intersection, surrounded by fast food restaurants and gas stations. It's a convenient spot for business travelers and families, although not many attractions are within walking distance and a car is necessary to get around. Lancaster Country Club is a five-minute drive from the hotel, while Lancaster Shopping Center is a nine-minute walk across a couple of busy streets. Dutch Wonderland and historic downtown Lancaster are each about a 10-minute drive from the hotel, while the Amish Village is a 15-minute drive away. Hersheypark -- a popular theme park -- is about 40 minutes away by car. Philadelphia and the Philadelphia International Airport can be reached by car in under 90 minutes.

There is a wide variety of rooms here, including suites and one- and two-bedroom villas -- all of which are quiet, clean, and expansive. Even standard category rooms come with luxurious linens, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, spacious work areas, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi access. Homey decor includes high-quality wood cabinets, speckled granite countertops, and potted plants adding a welcome dose of greenery to the abundance of neutral hues and earth tones. Two-Bedroom Villas, the largest units, are self-contained duplexes with living rooms, gas fireplaces, dining areas, and full kitchens with ovens, full-size refrigerators, dishwashers, and all of the necessary tools to make complete meals. These units also come with washers and dryers as well as flat-screen TVs in every room, plus some have more than one bathroom, equipped with both spacious rainfall showers and shower/tub combos. Bathrooms in standard rooms are equally modern and outfitted in either shower/tub combos or walk-in showers with subtly patterned wallpaper on the walls and large mirrors over decent-size granite vanities.

This resort offers an array of facilities, including two large heated pools -- both indoor and outdoor -- plus an expansive children’s splash area and playground. Pools are surrounded by sundecks lined with loungers, while the indoor pool also offers a hot tub. A putting green is located in the center of the property and there is a basketball court and other outdoor games like Ping-Pong and shuffleboard. Guests wishing to work out indoors can utilize a well-equipped fitness center with high-end cardio machines, stationary bikes, and weight equipment. 

Dining options include two on-site restaurants offering vast menus of comfort food, salads, and sandwiches. Lunch and breakfast buffets are available as well, but aren't included with most room rates, plus there's a Sunday Champagne brunch. There is also a full lounge and sports bar, and room service is available. There is a dress code in the dining venues.
