Spice Lanzarote

The Spice Lanzarote offers a fun and racy vacation for heterosexual couples looking for some adult fun in the sun. Attractions such as Timanfaya National Park, home to several volcanoes, can be found a 20-minute drive away. The airport can be reached in under 10 minutes.

The hotel has 67 spacious rooms, all featuring king beds and balconies with plastic patio furniture. Guests can choose between three categories: Pasilla, Mirasol, or Cascabel. The first two room types are basic and a tad dated, with just a couple of pieces of simple wooden furniture, photos on the walls, and underwhelming amenities such as small tube TVs (with adult channels), electric kettles, basic toiletries, CD/MP3 players, and fans. Bathrooms are clean, but equally dated, and have shower-tub combos with plastic curtains. 

Cascabel units have been renovated and feature contemporary, if generic, decor in black and gray tones and a few red accents. Amenities are still basic, but somewhat more contemporary, and include flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, air-conditioning, and minibars with wine and beer. Bathrooms in these rooms have walk-in showers with tiled walls in bright colors. Light sleepers may want to request a room overlooking the pool, as street-facing units may get some noise when the windows are open. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

The pool draws guests looking to relax in the sun during the day. It has loungers, parasols, and a friendly vibe with music. The poolside snack bar serves drinks, juices, and small bites day and night. There's also a huge 50-person whirlpool -- complete with a swim-up bar -- which is the place to be for couples looking to mingle and take part in racy activities led by the entertainment team. The atmosphere here is generally provocative and sometimes quite X-rated. Those looking to get pampered can book a treatment at the small spa, which also offers services such as voyeur massages, treatments with role-playing games, and so-called Fetiche massages with sex toys. At night, the nightclub offers DJ sessions and parties with spicy themes. Adjacent is the sex games room in which guests can engage in public erotic and sexual activities in groups or with their partner; private rooms are also available. Erotic and boudoir photo shoots and film services can also be booked. Additionally, the hotel has an average restaurant serving international cuisine that gets mixed reviews. Wi-Fi is free throughout and airport transfer services are available for a fee.
