The Chambers Park Place

The Chambers has a relaxed, home-away-from-home atmosphere and facilities that are aimed at long-stay guests. Most of those staying here are business travelers in town for a few months, but tourists also pass through, mostly over the weekends. The apartments are housed in a restored turn-of-the-century building on a quiet street, just a stone's throw from the bustling city center. Interiors are modern, but cozy, with a bright marble-clad lobby decorated with polished wood furniture and plush velveteen armchairs that surround a lovely fireplace and bar. Many guests tend to socialize here in the evenings with a drink or coffee, especially on the weekends. Guests can also take a quiet break in the library, or make use of the outdoor courtyard in the summer months. Sometimes the property hosts barbecues here, providing guests with an additional opportunity to socialize. Families with children are welcome at The Chambers, but there are no real kid-specific features beyond multi-bedroom apartments. 

The Chambers has a prime location in the heart of Leeds, making it an ideal base for anyone visiting the city. It's located on Park Place, a quiet road that's about a five-minute walk from Leeds Railway Station, providing easy transport links around the country. Trinity Shopping Center is just down the road, situated in the city's main shopping district. This area is also home to numerous cafes, bars, and restaurants. The property is conveniently located for both tourists and business travelers, with the First Direct Arena and O2 Academy less than 15 minutes walk away, while the St. George's Conference Center is only a five-minute walk from the property. There are plenty of attractions within walking distance too, like the Royal Armouries, Leeds City Museum, and Leeds Art Gallery. The Grand Theater and Opera House, as well as Leeds University, are a 15-minute walk from the property, while Leeds Town Hall is a five-minute walk. Leeds Bradford International Airport is around a 30-minute drive from the property, depending on traffic. 

Like the rest of the property, The Chambers' 58 apartments are modern, yet cozy, providing a home-away-from-home in the heart of the city. Rooms are all spacious and similarly styled, decorated with neutral color schemes and sleek contemporary furnishings. There are hardwood floors in the living areas and carpeted floors in the bedrooms. All apartments vary in size and layout, ranging from smaller studio apartments to spacious two-bedroom penthouse apartments with additional rooftop terraces. Some apartments overlook Park Place or the Town Hall, while others offer balconies overlooking the courtyard. 

Each apartment has a spacious living area, with flat-screen TVs, sleek coffee tables, and comfy sofas. Full kitchenettes include microwaves, cookers, fridges, dishwashers, and electric kettles. All guests receive a breakfast welcome pack with essentials like bread, jams, milk, baked beans, and homemade biscuits, which is a lovely extra touch. Free eggs are also available at the front desk. Modern technology includes phones, air-conditioning, DVD players, and safes, while second flat-screen TVs are installed in the bedrooms. Every apartment has laundry facilities, including washing machines and dryers. Marble-finish bathrooms are clean and modern, with neutral tones and glass-enclosed shower/tub combos. Free Molton Brown toiletries come standard.

Although The Chambers lacks dining options and child-friendly amenities, it has some great facilities for long-stay guests and corporate travelers. The lobby has a cozy seating area with a fireplace, surrounded by velveteen armchairs and fresh flowers, which is lovely in the winter months. The lounge includes an honor bar, where guests can charge snacks, hot drinks, and alcoholic beverages to their apartment, so no cash is needed. 

There’s a separate library just off the lobby, offering guests a quiet place to unwind with a drink or book. The library has comfy armchairs and an old bookcase, filled with DVDs for guests to borrow. A spacious meeting room with modern technology is located on the ground floor, where frequent events and functions are held. An outdoor courtyard is located just off the lobby, acting as the designated smoking area for guests without balconies. The courtyard is furnished with modern tables and chairs, plus barbecue facilities for summer events. 

There's a fitness center with modern cardio machines and free weights, but it's small and has limited equipment. Other services include a 24-hour front desk, room service, theater booking, and free Wi-Fi. The property has its own underground parking facility, but this costs extra.
