Ibis Lima Larco Miraflores

Like most Ibis hotels, this property is a bland gray commercial building from the outside, but bold and modern on the inside. It feels pretty busy in the reception, as the space is directly across from the hotel’s bar. The reception area melds into the restaurant, both of which have white tiled floors, red and white accents, and bold wording on the walls. Painted vases are displayed in red cases behind the reception desk. Guests of this hotel are mostly couples and business travelers, though there’s a significant portion of families too, all drawn by the basics amenities and good prices. However, take note that there’s plenty of complaints about an unwelcoming or unhelpful reception staff and issues with checking-in that generally center around hidden fees or extra charges. 

This property is located in the upscale Miraflores neighborhood on a busy street, surrounded by restaurants, shops, movie theaters, galleries, and bars. It's also just a four-minute walk away from the Larcomar shopping center and a seven-minute walk to the beach. Huaca Pucllana takes only 13 minutes to reach by car. The closest bus stop is a three-minute walk away. For tourists, the hotel is a bit far from the historic city center at a 30-minute drive. 

The rooms at Ibis Larco Miraflores are fairly generic and simple with light-wood furniture, wooden floors, a few orange, gray, or red accents, and no decorative elements on the walls. To maximize space, there’s a built-in, open-plan closet. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and safes. There’s no coffee- and tea-making facilities or minibars or mini-fridges. Bathrooms are tiny and come with toiletries, showers, and hairdryers. Thin walls allow for bothersome noise from neighbors and there’s been reports of maintenance issues with the air-conditioning.

The Ibis chain doesn’t generally offer a lot of features and this particular property doesn’t differ from that model. There are a few free perks like Wi-Fi and lemonade, candy, and fruit offered in the lobby. The restaurant, TASTE, serves local and international food, while the bar offers snacks and drinks 24 hours, either indoors on the outdoor patio. A breakfast buffet of pastries, cereals, fruit, and scrambled eggs is available for a fee every day. The hotel can arrange transportation and pets are welcome for a nominal fee. Travelers with cars can use the hotel’s parking garage for a fee.
