Myriad by SANA Hotels

The Myriad by SANA Hotels is located in a steel tower with a sail-like shape that was built for the Expo 98 World’s Fair, next to the Tagus River and tucked under the Vasco da Gama Tower. This luxury hotel has a glass lobby and a soaring atrium. A glass bridge connects the hotel to a conference center, and that combined with the location near the airport and far from the city center makes the hotel especially suited to business travelers. Furnishings throughout the hotel are funky and modern with a red and black color scheme. Impressive river views are offered just about everywhere at the hotel including from inside the restaurant, spa, scenic lounge deck, and rooms. The River Lounge Deck is a stylish, covered deck on the river where guests can relax on cushioned couches and order cocktails such as vanilla mojitos and passion fruit daiquiris or enjoy snacks including codfish cakes and grilled king prawns. There’s evening entertainment at the hotel varying from piano music to DJs. 

Myriad by SANA Hotels is located next to the Tagus River near a public park. A glass bridge connects the hotel to a conference center with seven meeting rooms and five boardrooms. There are several restaurants nearby as well as some bars. It’s less than a 20-minute walk to the Oceanarium, Lisbon Casino, and Vasco da Gama shopping center with a movie theater. It’s within a 10-minute drive to the airport, and less than a half hour drive to the historic city center, but isn't in the most convenient location for sightseeing. 

Rooms at the hotel are modern with bold black surfaces and shiny, red cabinets. Egg-shaped swing chairs are a unique futuristic touch. All rooms have river views, and guests suggest higher floors for the best possible views. All rooms have 37-inch flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, desks, MP3 player connections, minibars, and Nespresso machines. Open-plan bathrooms have glass peekaboo showers and gray privacy curtains separating the bathroom areas from the sleeping areas, which can make for limited privacy and might not appeal to all guests. Sleek bathrooms are furnished with glass bathroom scales and hydromassage showers; some also have whirlpool baths. Suites with living room areas are available. Wi-Fi is free throughout. 

Myriad by SANA Hotels has an impressive spa with an indoor pool, heated massage chairs, whirlpool beds, showers, a Turkish bath, and a sauna with river views. Massages and facials are offered for a fee, and there’s a fitness center with cardio equipment. There’s a Mediterranean restaurant on-site, and the hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as weekend brunches. The stylish, contemporary bar has musical entertainment and a cigar lounge with a variety of cigars available for purchase. There is an outdoor deck with lounge furniture where guests gather to enjoy the views and sip cocktails. Three meeting rooms are available for private events, and parking is available for a fee. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
