Bottom Line

The luxury Posh Pads at the Casartelli is a stylish, 31-room boutique hotel in the heart of
Liverpool. It’s a brief walk to the Central Metro Station and numerous top
attractions and restaurants, shops and pubs, and there's an on-site pub and bistro on-site for those who want to stay put. The apartment-style rooms are big and stylish and come with kitchens, but the bathrooms are comparatively small. Past guests have complained of noise from partygoers in the area, especially on the weekends. Although rates are reasonable, guests may want to compare comparable properties in the area, such as 30 James Street.

Scene

Upscale boutique hotel that’s popular with local partygoers

This stylish boutique hotel is housed in a building dating back to 1760. The
lobby features a small, curved front desk, brown tile floors and leather couch,
crystal chandeliers, modern sculptures on pedestals, and wood wall paneling. It
leads to the popular pub and bistro which offer direct access to the street.
The bistro has exposed brick, refurbished wood floors and soft lighting, while
the pub has a back-lit bar, high tables and chairs, and cozy sofas. Business travelers often stay here during the week; but on weekends, the hotel is popular with partygoers who take advantage of the spacious, multi-bed apartments with full kitchens and livings rooms to stage raucous get-togethers. The party scene on weekends can be noisy at times, as can the bustle from the street outside.

Location

On a busy city street near the Central Metro Station, walking distance to many attractions

Posh Pads at the Casartelli is located on a busy street in the heart of Liverpool, near lots of restaurants, bars, and shops.
Albert Dock and The Beatles Story take around 10 minutes to reach on foot. Both the Liverpool One shopping center and the Central Metro Station are a four-minute walk away. The Echo Arena Liverpool, the World Museum, and
the BT Convention Centre are about 13 minutes away on foot. The University of Liverpool is a 15-minute
walk from the hotel (or 11 minutes by metro), while the Liverpool Cathedral is a 12-minute walk. John Lennon Airport is approximately 25 to 30 minutes away by car, taxi, or metro.

Rooms

Spacious, plush, individually decorated apartments with full kitchens but smallish bathrooms

The hotel offers 26 one- and two-bedroom Superior Apartments and five Penthouses. All are spacious and
individually decorated with bold splashy designs. The backdrops are opulent
and loud, such as pink-striped walls, black fern-printed wallpaper, or animal-print textiles. White leather padded headboards and bed frames, large mirrors, and gold objets d'art add to the drama. All five Penthouses are themed, including the New York Penthouse, which has a mural of the New York skyline. Some Penthouses have big top-floor terraces with lovely city views. Rooms can get noisy on weekend evenings, but guests report less street noise on the higher floors. The living/dining/kitchen areas are housed in open-plan spaces with significantly lighter decor. The spaces feature solid-color sectional sofas, dining tables, and large flat-screen TVs. Some also have DVD players and cabinet stereo systems. Full
kitchens come with gas stoves, ovens, granite countertops, dishwashers, microwaves, kettles, wine fridges, washer/dryer combos, and all come with a full set of dishes and
cookware. Given the overall size of the apartments, the bathrooms are small, but still offer luxury decor with upscale tile walls and floors and walk-in rainfall showers with clear glass doors.

Features

Free Wi-Fi, on-site garage parking for a fee, restaurant bar/lounge, concierge, and Wi-Fi

The bistro
service breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and offers room service during breakfast hours. Note that breakfast is not included in room rates. The pub also serves lunch and dinner during the week and all three meals on weekends. Daily happy hour specials draw in a local crowd. The front desk is staffed 24
hours a day, and concierge services are available. Dry cleaning and laundry
services are available on request as well. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, and on-site parking is in an underground garage for a reasonable daily fee.
