Looks can be deceiving, and that’s certainly the case with The Pullman. Architecturally, the property is heavy, concrete, and somewhat imposing as it spans 16 stories skywards. Inside, however, open spaces are complemented by bright decor and thoughtful styling. The lobby runs fluidly into the Golden Arrow Restaurant and Bar area, which is an airy space with plenty of mirrors bouncing light around the room. Leather booths and cozy window-side seating are a hit with guests, who can be found relaxing here at all times of day. The atmosphere is social, with different seating configurations suitable for business meetings, lunches, cocktails, or newspaper reading. In the compact bar area, the decor becomes suitably more interesting, with thin pink lights, top-hat lampshades, and more black leather armchairs. The Pullman appeals to a huge range of guests. Expect a corporate crowd during the week or guests catching the Eurostar, and leisure travelers on the weekend. With such versatile and all-encompassing communal areas, it’s no surprise that this hotel is usually busy, and the vibe is lively as a result. 

This hotel’s location is ideal for those with onward journeys, as well as sightseers. It’s close to King's Cross-St. Pancras Station for Eurostar travelers, but is also central enough to reach London’s landmarks by train. Situated on Euston Road the hotel overlooks -- and is a two-minute walk to -- The British Library. A beautiful building, the library is home to handwritten Beatles lyrics and a huge number of books. It takes just over 10 minutes to walk to Granary Square, which is a relatively new addition to the King's Cross area. It’s located on the banks of the Regent’s Canal and has over 1,000 choreographed fountains, which are lit up at night. The nearby Bloomsbury district is well worth a visit if only to marvel at the architecture and pretty Russell Square Park. Other popular tourist spots include trendy Camden Market, which is 13 minutes away by train, and Regent’s Park, which is 15 minutes away by train. Big Ben and Buckingham Palace take 20 minutes to reach by train. Heathrow is the closest airport. Expect a 40-minute drive, though that time will vary depending on traffic. Otherwise, Stansted Airport is just over an hour’s drive away.

The walls are a neutral taupe, complemented by the contrasting white leather headboards and predominantly brown striped carpets. Ergonomically designed roll seating and work desks are equally as well thought out, though configurations and seating vary. Blackout curtains and double-glazed windows are an entirely necessary touch, particularly as many rooms overlook busy Euston Road. Amenities are high-end, and all rooms come with 40-inch satellite TVs, minibars, platform beds, and laptop-sized safes. Coffee- and tea-making facilities, irons and ironing board, and smartphones with maps and unlimited calls to local and international numbers are also standard in all rooms. Bathrooms are modern, but can be compact and have rainfall showers. They include premium C.O. Bigelow toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, and handy magnifying mirrors. Upgrades add separate seating areas, Nespresso machines, Bose docking stations, and on-demand movies. The best option is the Deluxe Suite, which has panoramic views of the British Library and St. Pancras Station, as well as a separate living area and kitchenette. 

This hotel has a number of features that make it an appealing upscale option for travelers seeking a social atmosphere. Although guests are spoiled for choice with dining options in King's Cross, the hotel’s own Golden Arrow Restaurant is a destination in its own right. It's popular with locals and serves modern European dishes along with an extensive wine collection and a show kitchen. The Golden Arrow Bar is small, but offers live music and DJs, while major sporting events shown on the big screen and there's an impressive whiskey collection. Unlike some of its nearby competitors, The Pullman has a gym with large windows as well as Technogym cardio and weight equipment, plus Pilates and relaxation zones. A small garden to the front of the gym and a sauna are all great additions. Finally, there are 17 flexible meeting spaces outfitted with state-of-the-art technology, interactive smartboards, high-speed premium Wi-Fi, Nespresso machines, and multi-adaptors. There's even a conference entrance and car access to make things more efficient. Event management and catering services are available too.
