Although housed in a towering, Georgian-style building, the Radisson Blu Edwardian Berkshire Hotel has a rather close and compact lobby. Finished in dark wood with marble floors, the scene is smart and functional, if a little anonymous. Like most Radissons, decor is predominantly Oriental in flavor (reputedly chosen by the wife of the CEO) and includes tasteful traditional prints and sculpture. While some public spaces are on the bland side, there is a beautiful period staircase with polished wood paneling and an old grandfather clock worth skipping the lift for. Clientele tends towards those in London on business -- especially those in the fashion industry -- as well as tourists keen to splash the cash on high street shopping sprees.
