The sister property of the five-pearl Montcalm London Marble Arch hotel located across the street, the Marble Arch by Montcalm is an equally elegant hotel, though smaller and with fewer in-house facilities, which are shared with the Montcalm. Housed in a small town house, the hotel offers sleek interiors and a central location that attracts tourists wishing to shop and sightsee. After passing through a glass-lined hallway with a vaulted ceiling, guests are greeted at a marble front desk. A wooden staircase, with a rainfall chandelier cascading down its center, spirals up to the rooms. Public spaces are limited to a small but pleasant breakfast room, with plenty of curved armchairs around small dark wood tables. An atrium-like extension with a glass roof fills the space with lots of natural light, and fresh flowers scattered about provide an elegant touch.

The hotel is centrally located on a busy street that runs directly from the Marble Arch, and is surrounded by several other hotels and private apartment buildings. The convenient location is well serviced by public transportation, and is a three-minute walk from the Marble Arch Underground station, as well as several buses. There are many sights within walking distance of the hotel, including Hyde Park, which is three blocks away, as well as the Sherlock Holmes Museum and Madame Tussauds, which are about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Other popular sights, such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, can be reached in less than 20 minutes via public transportation. The area is also a shopper’s paradise, with the famed Oxford Street three blocks away, and Regent Street and Bond Street within walking distance as well.

Rooms, much like the rest of the hotel, feature elegant, contemporary decor, with modern furniture that includes plush beds topped in high-quality bedding and framed in large beige headboards, and sleek, black work desks and matching nightstands. Rooms are small but make efficient use of space and mirrors for an enlarging effect. Be aware, though, that some rooms lack windows. Larger rooms have comfortable sitting areas. Rooms are outfitted with large flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, scent machines with a choice of five fragrances, tea- and coffee-making facilities, minibars stocked with a good selection of snacks and drinks, and free Wi-Fi. Free fruit and bottled water are also provided. Sleek, modern bathrooms are tiled in colors of slate and black, and are equipped with shower/tub combos with rainfall showerheads. Club Rooms come with free access to the Club Lounge in the Montcalm London Marble Arch across the street.

The hotel has a small dining room that’s open in the mornings for breakfast and serves a full English as well as continental breakfast, which require an additional fee. Though there is no full restaurant, the hotel shares many facilities with its sister property, the Montcalm London Marble Arch, across the street -- it has two restaurants as well as a stylish Champagne bar. Twenty-four hour room service is also available. Other amenities at the sister property that are open to guests here include a spa with sauna, steam room, and swimming pool, as well as a fitness center. There are also several meeting rooms and event spaces that can accommodate up to 550 people.
