Thistle Euston is situated in a neutral five-story building with rows of square windows. The interior offers an understated, contemporary look that reflects the business guests it attracts. The reception area's no-nonsense tiled floors are accented with more refined details, like ceiling molding, marbled walls, and button-tufted bench seating. This area extends off into lounge spaces with rich purple carpeting and modern gray upholstered chairs. The bar is a particularly nice spot, with a wood floor, an inset ceiling with moody lights, and wood cafe tables surrounded by upholstered chairs. With its proximity to Euston Station, this hotel attracts a lot of business guests and other travelers.

Thistle Euston is situated in greater London, slightly outside of the heavy tourist area but right across from the Euston railway station (a three-minute walk), which puts city and regional attractions in easy reach. Sights in walking distance include Regent's Park (11-minute walk), The British Library (13-minute walk), and the British Museum (21-minute walk). Sights like Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace can be reached in 20 minutes via public transit, while the Globe Theater and Tower of London will take 30 minutes. Both Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport are about an hour away via public transit. Secure parking is available close by, but costs an extra fee. 

Rooms at the Thistle Euston are tidy, tasteful, and understated with wall-to-wall carpeting, white walls, and nice wood furniture (a notch above the standard laminate fare). Accents in dark brown and turquoise add to the rooms' warmth. Bathrooms are modern with white and beige tiling, and they can be quite spacious for a hotel in London -- guests rave about the roomy walk-in showers. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, work desks, LCD TVs, and free Wi-Fi. There's coffee and tea service -- including British shortbread -- but there are no minibars or mini-fridges (though room service is available 24 hours). Other amenities include irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, and free individual toiletries. Guests only occasionally note noise from neighbors, but guests rarely complain about exterior noise, despite proximity to the train station. 

Most of the hotel's property features are geared toward business travelers. The restaurant, Brasserie 43, serves English and European food, while Lounge Bar 43 is a nice spot for getting drinks, afternoon tea, and light fare, plus it's open late. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and well-liked among guests, though it may cost an extra fee. The hotel also has meeting and event rooms, the largest of which can host up to 100 people. A few tablet stations are available for guest use, and Wi-Fi throughout is free. The main amenities this hotel lack are fitness and wellness facilities. 

The front desk and room service are available 24-hours. Concierge services like ticket assistance and laundry service can be requested, and the hotel staff can store luggage after checkout -- a nice feature for a hotel right next to a train station. Parking is available nearby, but costs an extra fee.
