Bottom Line

True to its name, the upper-middle-range Pueblo Bonito Rose is a massive pink resort situated on the most swimmable beach in Cabo, Playa el Medano. Arranged in a u-shape around the massive freeform pool, all 260 suites are spacious and come with kitchenettes and balconies. With a private section of the public beach, several dining options, optional all-inclusive rates, pool activities, and a shuttle between sister resorts, the hotel is an ideal pick for families. There are a few wellness options including an up-to-date fitness center and tranquil spa with a beauty salon. The biggest complaint here is pesky time-share pitches. For those looking for a little more quiet, check out the sister resort Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, a more tranquil option on a quieter stretch of beach.

Pueblo Bonito Rosé Resort & Spa

Scene

Massive pink resort with a bustling pool and lively beach scene; a few quiet areas

The aptly named Pueblo Bonito Rose stands out from the surrounding resorts with high pink walls trimmed in white. The resort blends classic Mexican architecture with Greco-Roman decor -- lots of open-floor hallways, spacious courtyards with statues, and heavy concrete benches. The bustling hotel is centered around a massive freeform pool which is usually full of kids and couples hanging out and playing games led by entertainment staff. The private section of the beach is typically busy throughout the day with travelers sunbathing and peddlers hawking their wares. With a shuttle service running between sister resorts, there are usually lots of guests coming and going throughout the entire hotel to use different amenities. There is a lovely, quiet courtyard near the front of the hotel with plenty of tables and a pretty fountain where guests can hang out and use free Wi-Fi.

Two of the biggest complaints here are annoying time-share pitches, and that all-inclusive guests are required to wear a wristband. Note that the resort charges a hefty fee to replace a lost wristband.
