Bottom Line

The  77-room Shoreline Island Resort is a quiet condo hotel right on the beach. Rooms are large but basic and have kitchens and balconies; some also have ocean views. Features include free Wi-Fi and a free grab-and-go continental breakfast with fruit, granola bars, juice, yogurt, and muffins. However, there is limited seating so guests must take the meal to their rooms or to the adjacent outdoor patio. Note that the Shoreline is an adult-only property; travelers with children may want to consider the family-friendly Madeira Bay Resort, which is around a 15-minute walk from the Shoreline Island Resort.

Shoreline Island Resort

Scene

A comfortable adults-only hotel with simple decor and limited common areas

The Shoreline is an adults-only hotel with a relaxed atmosphere that attracts vacationing couples. The exterior of the hotel looks dated and plain with a tired entrance sign and an uninteresting color palette. The lobby is small and has a generic, dated feel with blue carpeting, cushioned wicker armchairs, and large windows that let in a fair bit of natural light. There's also a bookshelf with DVDs and paperbacks and free tea and coffee are available throughout the day. There's also a small brick patio with patio furniture flanked by tropical shrubbery and a brick barbecue area with cooking utensils.

The Shoreline Island Resort is located right on the beach with restaurants and a shopping center with a supermarket and a drugstore within a 15-minute walk. Local points of interest, such as Alligator Attractions, John’s Pass and Village Boardwalk, and Smuggler’s Cover Adventure Golf are a five-minute drive from the hotel while the War Veteran Memorial Park takes 10 minutes to reach by car. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Tropicana Field, the Salvador Dali Museum, Sunken Gardens, and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport are all around a half-hour drive away.
