Bottom Line

Antony Palace Hotel is a new and modern hotel in Marcon, a commercial area about 20 minutes from Venice. The 140 doubles, triples, family rooms, and suites are spacious and stylishly decorated. There’s not much in the way of public transportation, although the hotel provides a regular shuttle bus to and from Venice and the Marco Polo Airport for a small fee. There are two restaurants with limited menus, and the rooftop gym is a nice touch. Overall, it's a good value for travelers who want modern luxury for much less than a Venice hotel and don't mind the removed location.

Antony Palace Hotel

Scene

Modern, soaring space with lots of glass

The hotel’s modern facade is made of brick and curved glass. Inside, the lobby is filled with light from large, sloped glass windows. Leather and fabric couches are scattered around the towering room. Round banquettes in purple velvet with mustard-colored pillows and red glass chandeliers bring color to an otherwise sterile space. Bar Bacaro Rosso is true to its name, and filled with cherry red chairs and table runners. Restaurant Fortuny is slightly more formal looking, filled with browns and golds. The hotel also has a large and modern meeting space and attracts business travelers, although it can be used as a base for tourists visiting Venice.

Rooms

Large and stylishly decorated rooms

The 140 new rooms are large and have decor that’s understatedly modern and stylish. In the double, triple, and family rooms, the gold and black color scheme is punctuated by red armchairs and each room has a desk with one funky red leg. Recessed walls have tapestries with a black and gold paisley print. Spacious marble bathrooms have glass-walled shower/tub combos. There are dark wood paneled walls in the Junior Suites, which have small outdoor patios as well as shiny tiled bathrooms with separate soaking tubs and stall showers. Amenities common to all rooms include flat-screen TVs, minibars, coffee- and tea-making facilities, safes, robes, and hairdryers.
