Travelers and long-term residents stay at this high-rise property, which opened in 2015. It’s a quiet place where guests don’t interact much, other than perhaps at the fitness center or pool. The hotel attracts lots of families, and its central location near downtown and the convention center brings in a good deal of business travelers. With a two-night minimum required, it’s geared more toward longer stays. The lobby is sleek and spacious, with bright yellow, modern seating, and paneled walls in brushed gold, but while attractive, it doesn't invite lingering.  

The hotel is located in Melbourne's Southbank suburb, a bustling area just south of the Central Business District that's packed with restaurants and nightlife. It's about a 15-minute walk to reach the CBD, or a 10-minute tram ride across the river from the Whiteman Street stop, a six-minute walk from the hotel. It’s roughly a 12-minute walk to the Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex, which features sports bars, a theater, restaurants, shops, bowling, and a cinema in addition to the casino. Melbourne's Convention and Exhibition Centre is a 15-minute walk, and the National Gallery of Victoria is 10 minutes on foot. Etihad Stadium is a six-minute drive, or 30 minutes using public transit. Melbourne Tullamarine Airport is about 30 minutes away by car.

The apartments at this property are contemporary, with bright accents that add energy and polish. A mix of earth tones is a backdrop for splashes of color, like aqua and tangerine-orange found in wall art and used for throw pillows. It’s a pleasant look that make spaces comfortable. The apartments are exceptionally tidy and well maintained. They come in one-, two-, and three-bedroom options, with some units offering two full bathrooms. All apartments feature floor-to-ceiling windows that offer sweeping views of the city skyline. They also have desks, small balconies, dining tables and chairs, and kitchens with full-size fridges, stoves, ovens, microwaves, coffeemakers, cookware, and dishwashers. There's also free coffee, tea, and Wi-Fi.

The living rooms have 40-inch flat-screen TVs, sofas, and armchairs. Washer/dryers are placed in roomy bathrooms that are basic but appealing, and contain walk-in showers and ample toiletries. Units are generally quiet, and strict noise regulations are enforced. 

This property's top feature is the heated indoor pool and fitness center on the eighth floor. The lap pool is enclosed by glass and offers great views of the city, and the gym has several pieces of up-to-date equipment, such as treadmills, ellipticals, and free weights. Another highlight is the lovely terrace that has picnic tables and gas grills. 

Other amenities include a concierge to arrange babysitting, valet dry cleaning and laundry, and grocery shopping for an extra fee. Daily housekeeping is available, but it costs extra. Otherwise, rooms are cleaned on a weekly basis. Wi-Fi is free throughout, and the on-site parking garage offers reasonable rates for its central location.
