The gym's rock-climbing wall is a distinctive feature.
The gym, located above the spa, is packed with mint-condition weight-training and cardio machines overlooking the ocean. Yoga classes are available in the morning, but the Mandarin also has a team of personal trainers to help with any other workout. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer ocean views from dozens of cardio machines. The gym's rock-climbing wall is a distinctive feature. Every day, some 40 free fitness classes are offered throughout the property, from Sunrise Yoga to Beach Conditioning. The hotel's enormous Willow Stream gym is simply decorated, beautifully lit and filled with well-maintained, top-of-the-line equipment. The gym and spa are located in their own building by the entrance to the compound. LifeFitness cardio machines have their own cable TVs and look out on the pool area through arched windows. Free mini water bottles and fruit are provided in the fitness studio free of charge. Personal trainers are available for private sessions, and there are two to four group fitness classes, from Poolates to Zen Jump, each day on offer. Group classes cost extra, however, typically $10 or $15 per class. Spa Internazionale boasts a huge, state-of-the-art fitness center on the second floor and a Pilates studio. A half dozen group fitness classes are offered daily. For $15, guests have access to the gym on the top-floor of the Lapis spa. The gym has a huge selection of top-of-the-line weight-training and cardio equipment. In fact, few hotels -- or brand-name gyms for that matter -- have as many treadmills as Lapis. Cardio machines are right by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pools and the ocean. The Fontainebleau has personal trainers on staff to assist guests with free weights and machines, but there are no classes offered, unless requested.
