Bottom Line

The 459-room Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow sits at the higher end of airport hotels, and bucks the trend for the often faceless and functional properties of this type. Interiors are elegant, while eating and drinking areas are sleek and inviting. A proper spa, too, is an unexpected bonus, and extensive on-site parking is a big plus. Rooms are good -- with stylish interiors, big flat-screen TVs, and electric kettles -- though lacking a certain pizzazz, and soundproofing could be better in some rooms. There are plenty of hotels to choose from in the immediate area, but for this caliber of hotel, this is probably the best value.

Oyster Hotel Review

Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel

Scene

Upscale airport hotel

With its bold neo-Classical touches and shimmering line of tall windows, the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel has a distinctive facade. Inside is no less impressive, its spacious lobby area is a swath of polished marble, hardwood paneling, and distinguished-looking furnishings, all illuminated by a huge centerpiece chandelier. A pair of giant vases flank intricately wrought brass stair railings that lead up into the hanger-like atrium, bathed in natural light from its glass ceiling and housing an intriguing water feature. Mood is quite distinguished for an airport hotel with an Edwardian gentlemen’s club-style ambience, appealing to business travelers, conference delegates, and well-heeled tourists here for a stopover.
