- On-site Bulgari spa with swimming pool and fitness center
- Gourmet Italian restaurant and sleek bar in the hotel
- Located within walking distance of the Duomo and high-end shopping
- Free Bulgari bath products

- Not ideal for business travelers unless part of the fashion industry
- Small indoor swimming pool
Bottom Line
The super luxurious Bulgari Milano is one of the best places to see and be seen in the fashion scene of Milan, with a price tag to match. An 18th-century renovated mansion on 4,000 square meters of private gardens, the 58-room property is within walking distance of shopping venues like Prada and Gucci yet still manages to feel secluded. Bulgari Milano is loaded with every conceivable amenity, from a world renowned spa to a sleek bar and gourmet restaurant. There are some complaints that rooms are too small for the price and that the color scheme is gloomy.

Scene
Bulgari models and high rollers living large in the center of Milan
The Bulgari Milano is an extension of the iconic fashion house's brand, located in the heart of Italy's fashion capital. The property delivers on what its jet-set clientele expect with sleek lines and lots of black. Framed black and white photos of models wearing Bulgari line the walls of the lobby. Yet purple drop cloths on some of the chairs look a bit worn and out of place. Outdoors, a wooden terrace holds patio furniture with cream-colored umbrellas and views of the manicured gardens.
Location
In central Milan, within walking distance of the high-fashion district and the Duomo
The Bulgari Milano manages to be right in the center of bustling Milan while still maintaining a sense of quiet and exclusivity thanks to its location on a private street. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the Piazza del Duomo, among other sights like the Teatro alla Scalla. To be even closer to all the action (and shopping) in Milan, it may be worth comparing rates at the super centrally located Hotel Spadari al Duomo.
Rooms
Modern with clean lines, hardwood floors, and luxurious bathrooms -- but tiny balconies
Guest bathrooms are the real standout at the Bulgari Milano. Sliding glass doors lead into the space, which has a large soaking bathtub, rain showerhead, and Bulgari toiletries. The black bathrooms can take getting used to, while other bathrooms have a neutral color palette. Some complain that the bedrooms are small, but fun perks include fresh fruit plates and wall-mounted flat-screen TVs. Wooden closets offer ample storage space, and the miniature balconies are more suited for a quick breath of fresh air than a place to hang out.
Features
Bulgari spa, indoor swimming pool, and a sexy bar with on-site Il Ristorante
Bulgari Milano is a known exotic cocktail hot-spot for Milan residents who gather at the black resin bar, with a glass wall that opens onto the garden. On-site Il Ristorante has a seasonal menu and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The fitness center isn't the biggest space we've seen, but it has cardio machines and strength-training equipment. The spa offers a wide-variety of luxe treatments and has an indoor swimming pool, though the pool at the nearby Four Seasons Milano is larger.
