Delta Hotels by Marriott Montreal occupies a concrete high-rise in downtown Montreal surrounded by similar corporate-style buildings. The on-site Enterprise car rental desk is visible as guests approach the warmly lit entranceway, with topiaries and sliding glass doors. The hotel is renovating several of its public areas, and the lobby and restaurant are both dated, though still pleasant and clean. A wood-paneled front desk and white marble floors give way to a broad staircase leading to an elegant seating area with enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, a gigantic chandelier, and simple beige and brown couches casually strewn with patterned throw pillows next to a grand piano. The carpeting and wall art recall previous decades, but it's still a comfortable place for guests to sit and plan a day of sightseeing or meetings. Le Cordial restaurant and bar feels even more dated than the lobby, with green vinyl chairs, green and gold carpeting, and a dark marble bar with glossy bronze fixtures. Guests tend to be business travelers, families, or tourists keen on exploring the city's entertainment district or in town for Jazz Fest. 

Delta Hotels by Marriott Montreal is located downtown, making it convenient for business travelers and tourists. The Montreal Convention Centre is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and the entertainment district -- where Jazz Fest takes place annually -- is five minutes away on foot. Shopping is easily accessible, with Underground City a 12-minute walk and the upscale boutiques of Rue Sherbrooke just a block away. Within a 10-minute walk, guests can reach cultural attractions such as the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montréal, the Place des Arts, and l'Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal. Station McGill is the nearest metro stop, a five-minute walk from the hotel for connections to the trendy Plateau area in less than 20 minutes, and the Trudeau Airport is a 20-minute drive by taxi or car, or 40 minutes by bus.

Spacious guest rooms (starting at 300 square feet, or 28 square meters) are modern, yet have some some typical chain hotel accents including subtly patterned beige carpeting, tan wallpapered walls, and birch or dark wood-veneer furniture, like headboards, bedside tables, and entertainment consoles. Colorful wall art includes abstract prints and distorted photography, and beds have white duvets, some of which are made up with bright bed-runners and throw pillows. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, free bottled water, air-conditioning (that may be loud), irons, electric kettles, and sleek SmartDesks with multiple connectivity ports and ergonomic chairs. ModeDeluxe Rooms have balconies, bathrobes, and premium towels, and ModeClub Rooms on the 21st through 23rd floors have additional seating and access to several other on-site amenities (detailed below), though mini-fridges are only available for a fee in all rooms. Large tiled bathrooms are clean and contemporary, with wood-veneer shelving, white square sinks on large vanities, hairdryers, and shower/tub combos or glass walk-in showers. They also feature high-end June Jacobs products. 

Le Cordial Resto-Bar serves a continental/American buffet breakfast for a fee, along with a la carte dishes for lunch and dinner. Menu items include thin-crust pizzas and casual French bistro fare, and there's a full bar and 24-hour room service. ModeClub guests have access to a Club Lounge along with free breakfast and evening appetizers. The M BIOSPA offers men's and women's treatments as well as a hair salon, and there are two saunas, a hot tub, and an indoor saltwater lap pool available to all guests. The modern fitness center has a nice selection of cardio machines and weight equipment, and there are two squash courts on-site. Attractive meeting spaces were renovated in 2012 and can host up to 550 people; there's also a business center with copying and faxing services and free hotel-wide Wi-Fi. Parking is available in the on-site garage for a fee and there is an on-site car rental desk as well as a shop stocked with essentials and souvenirs. Although the overall vibe is geared towards business travelers, there is a kids' playroom on site and babysitting services are available for families with small children.
