Adam Park Marrakech Hotel & Spa

While the guest rooms and the two-story sand-colored stone buildings of this 2011 hotel are understated, the rest of the property is boldly decorated, and at times borders on the garish side. The lobby, Sinatra Bar, and separate Italian and Moroccan restaurants have big black-and-white checkerboard floors and furnishings in black or red, with thick red velvet curtains, tall mirrors, and intricately patterned back-lit ceiling and wall panels. Colorful glass lamps and wall art that includes a modern Frank Sinatra painting and massive La Traviata opera poster complete the brazen vibe. In the spa, a quiet Turkish bath with pale stone gives way to vivid, all-red treatment rooms and a glittery hot tub. Guests, often couples and some families, relax around the large rectangular pool lined with dozens of simple black lounge chairs. 

The hotel is set in a quiet area with a shopping center and cinema within walking distance. Otherwise, guests will have to drive or take a taxi to see the sights, although the hotel provides twice hourly shuttle service until the early evening. The Agdal Gardens is within walking distance, and the El Badi Palace is about seven-minutes away by car. Jamaa el Fna Square, the hub of the medina, is a 10- to-15 minute drive away, and Marrakech Menara Airport is about a 20-minute drive.

All guest rooms are decorated simply with beige tile floors, cream walls, and intricate molding around the ceiling. Bedding is crisp white with bright throws and pillows in shades of purple, orange, or red, while long pale gray curtains fall against the glass balcony doors. Furnishings are basic, in warm wood and dark-wood laminate. Bathrooms are modern and quite luxurious, with beige tile throughout, large shower/tub combos, and dark basin-style sinks. All rooms are air-conditioned and have safes, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and balconies, but no coffeemakers or tea kettles. Larger rooms have seating areas, and Superior Suites have separate living rooms. 

The large rectangular pool lined with lounge chairs and adjacent covered patio area provides guests with plenty of space to soak up the sun. There's a poolside bar serving cocktails in addition to the large interior space at the Sinatra Bar. Guests can dine at La Traviata for Italian cuisine, L'International for the free and extensive breakfast buffet, and Sidi Bibi for traditional Moroccan dishes. The spa has several treatment rooms for massages and various holistic body treatments, and there are a hot tub and Turkish bath available. There's a small, wood-floored fitness center with several cardio machines and a few weight machines. The colorful kids' club is open daily, and filled with toys and games. Wi-Fi is free. Three meeting rooms and a 24-hour business center are also on-site.
