Fun graphic design pervades the common areas here: A back-lit bar adjacent to the lobby is flanked by bright red leather-embracing easy chairs and tables frosted with the hotel’s name. A similarly cheery restaurant has low-hanging red-lantern lighting and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto a patio courtyard. Black-and-white framed photography is hung throughout. The hotel is popular with tourists, as well as with business travelers because of the proximity to a number of large offices in the area.

The property, surrounded by office parks, office buildings, and the occasional residential building, is situated in a combination post-industrial and suburban area, and abuts a major road. The location is somewhat isolated and does not have a lot of street life, although there is a supermarket within walking distance. The hotel is down the street from the Leuchtenbergring S-Bahn station, which provides an easy connection to the city center and the airport.

The rooms are basic in an industrial chic way, cheery with black walls and black carpets accented by bright primary colors on the headboards, couches, and curtains, giving them a graphic, modern aesthetic. The occasional black-and-white photograph or colorful oil painting hangs on the wall next to a small LCD flat-screen TV. All rooms have coffee- and tea-making facilities, flat-screen TVs, plenty of outlets, temperature control, and minibars. Bathrooms, which are trimmed with playful red tiles, have heated floors, hairdryers, free toiletries, wall-mounted make-up mirrors, and walk-in showers.

The Holiday Inn Munich - Leuchtenbergring has a  bar and restaurant, a small business center with computer stations and a printer, and meeting rooms. Fitness and spa services are available at a nearby facility at a discount. The breakfast spread includes  a selection of breads, meats, cheeses, salads, fruit, and cereals, as well as  bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausages.
