K+K Hotel am Harras

K+K Hotel am Harras occupies a boxy six-story building located on a busy street corner of Munich's Sendling district. The hotel's interiors have a stark and generic chain-hotel look, with minimal furnishings in the lobby area and few decorative elements to brighten up the sterile spaces, which doesn't reflect its advertised "upscale" status. Seating is limited to only a few sofas and armchairs. Other spaces, however, like the mid-century-style restaurant or the warm and wood-paneled bar are far more inviting. The in-house meeting rooms and location opposite a U-Bahn station make it a popular choice with people traveling for business, though some leisure travelers also do end up staying here.

K + K Hotel am Harras is located in the Sendling district of Munich, southwest of the city center. Harras U-Bahn station is directly across from the hotel, and provides quick access to Marienplatz and other city center attractions via the subway system. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets located in the immediate vicinity.

Rooms at K+K Hotel am Harras are kept in excellent shape and have a retro '60s vibe thanks to wood-grain furniture and wall paneling finished in warm tones. Brown patterned carpeting and glass-topped desks enhance the look. Bathrooms, however, are entirely modern and fitted with marble countertops and shower/tub combos, and hairdryers, magnifying mirrors, and free toiletries are provided. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, electric kettles with coffee/tea supplies, mini-fridges (paired with a few glasses), and safes. Higher-category Executive Rooms add separate living room areas and bump up the perks with bathrobes and slippers, free bottles of water on arrival, and 10 percent discounts on food and drink at the on-site bistro and bar. 

The K+K Hotel am Harras offers a decent selection of amenities for a hotel of its size, but features fall short of the advertised four-pearl status. A continental breakfast with baked goods, fruits, and cheeses is available, but it costs extra. Lunch and dinner are available at the hotel’s in-house Bistro Lounge, and there's also a bar open in the evenings with an outdoor patio for use in the summer months. Room service is available, too. 

There's no spa, but there is a wellness area with a sauna and relaxation space open from late afternoon plus a bare-bones fitness room with a stationary bicycle, a cross-trainer, and a rowing machine. Business facilities include two on-site meeting rooms plus computers and a printer for guest use in the lobby. A decent selection of international newspapers and free tea and coffee are available in the lobby, and Wi-FI is free throughout the hotel. Private parking is available (for a fee) in the hotel's underground parking garage that can accommodate 20 cars only and costs an extra daily fee. Pets are allowed for a fee, and laundry services are available on request.
