NH Collection Munchen Bavaria

The NH Collection München Bavaria is a modern hotel with panoramic views. With 14 floors, this chain hotel was one of the first high-rises in Munich. The entrance of the hotel is directly on a bustling Munich street, with locked bicycles crowded at the front. The lobby features stylish seating areas and four dark wood front desks. There are two modern elevators and a staircase.

Views of the city are on display everywhere, including the hallways and the third floor restaurant terrace. In warmer months, breakfast is served on the terrace, which has dark rattan chairs and circular lamp posts. A larger terrace offers cocktail tables, chic rattan lounge chairs, and, of course, sweeping views. The bright breakfast room features stylish furniture and ceiling fans. The Con Gusto bar serves Bavarian snacks and German wines in a contemporary setting, with blue booths, a flat-screen TV, and modern furniture. Overall the atmosphere is polished and modern.

The hotel’s best feature is its ideal location near all of Munich’s public transportation. The Hauptbahnhof Nord is directly across the street. The Hauptbahnhof main subway station is a four-minute walk. The hotel is in a bustling area surrounded with casinos, restaurants, bars, a sex shop, exotic dance clubs, and markets. Munich’s public square, the Marienplatz, is three minutes away by S-Bahn. Driving to the Neuschwanstein Castle takes an hour and 34 minutes. It’s 13 minutes by subway to Oktoberfest Munich. The Hofbrauhaus Munich, a 16th century beer hall, is eight minutes on the S-Bahn. The airport is 25 minutes away by car.

Modern furniture and wood floors are found in Standard, Deluxe, and Superior rooms. Standard rooms are on the small side. Flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, electric kettles, and writing desks are standard features. Upgraded rooms have Nespresso machines, bathrobes, slippers, and small sitting areas. There are showers or shower/tub combos in modern bathrooms. Adjoining rooms, baby cribs (for larger rooms), and electrical adapters are available. Windows open slightly, overlooking Munich’s old town or the mountains. Rooms on the 10th floor and higher have the best views. Smoking rooms are available.
