The Breakers Resort

The Breakers Resort is a family-friendly tower hotel with an amazing beachfront location. Guests have access to a range of family-friendly amenities, such as the pool area with a lazy river where guests can sit on inner tubes and float down the indoor/outdoor river. A huge pirate ship looms over the children’s pool where kids can splash around inside and spy out through portholes. The nautical-themed restaurant on-site has a bar where guests can get a drink, and in the summer there's a stand selling shaved ice and a children’s club that organizes activities like scavenger hunts and races.

Breakers Resort is located in a long stretch of oceanfront hotels, right in front of a calm, sandy beach, and it’s less than a 10-minute drive to the action of the boardwalk. Pine Lakes Country Club is less than a five-minute drive, and the airport can be reached in under 15 minutes by car. 

Rooms are bright and spacious and are available in one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. Some have balconies that look out over the beach. Headboards resembling white plantation shutters are particularly charming, but some of the decor is a bit dated, such as spackled ceilings and gold-framed pictures. Rooms have dining areas and kitchenettes with stoves, refrigerators, coffeemakers, and toasters, and all come with crockery, dishes, and cutlery. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and free Wi-Fi. DVDs can be borrowed from the front desk. 

The hotel serves a free continental breakfast buffet with make-your-own waffles, but the food gets mixed reviews. Other amenities include a fitness center with modern equipment, and covered parking is available in a garage across the street. Unlimited free DVD rentals are provided to guests, and promotions that include admission to nearby mini-golf and water parks are available with some room rates. The hotel has several indoor and outdoor water parks, with family-friendly features like a lazy river, pirate ship children’s pool, and large whirlpool.
