Scene
Chic, modern hotel that pays homage to Nashville’s creative spirit
Set in a landmark 1970s office building towering over busy West End Avenue, the hip Hutton Hotel opened in 2008 as a lifestyle hotel drawing a mix of leisure and business travelers. Top-to-bottom renovations in 2017 by renowned Studio 11 Design added beautiful public spaces and decor that reminds guests at every turn that they’re in Music City. The hotel counts plenty of creative types among its clientele, thanks to features like public Writers' Rooms equipped for artists and musicians, as well a cool Vinyl Lounge off the lobby with a curated selection of records spanning several decades. Outfitted with plush sofas, leather seating, and rich hardwood floors, the beautiful lobby flows seamlessly into the airy WestEnd Kitchen and Bar. There’s plenty of space for guests to quietly lounge during the day. Visitors can expect to see four-legged guests wandering through, thanks to the hotel’s pet-friendly policies and amenities. The lobby and bar become livelier as the day goes on, particularly as the free evening guest reception start and locals stop by for drinks and dinner after finishing work at the nearby university and offices. The cool factor skyrockets at Analog, the hotel’s massive, ultra hip live music venue in a former parking garage that serves up high-end cocktails on two floors of dark nooks and crannies with eclectic furnishings. When particularly popular acts take the stage, the line can be down the block.
