Iria Beach Art Hotel

This beautiful beach hotel has a friendly, relaxing atmosphere and a great location. Short, squarish ivory buildings with bricked archways and light-blue trim are a lovely update on the traditional blue-on-white Cycladic style. Flowering potted plants and small trees embellish every corner and courtyard. Inside, the lobby is a simple space with a few contemporary touches in the bright-red divan, oversize raindrop sculpture, and whimsical mermaid wall hanging. Next door, the restaurant has a lovely cafe atmosphere with deep-blue and green accents. Blue window tinting and a shimmery, back-lit trim is reminiscent of the play of light in ocean waters. The restaurant's charming outdoor stone patio has green and white chairs with rainbow-striped cushions, hanging plants, and woven baskets, plus views out to the beach. Guests find the staff helpful and welcoming, and enjoy the convenience of the beach and tourist areas. Despite the busy atmosphere outside, the hotel maintains a peaceful ambience that makes it feel like a tranquil oasis. 

Iria Beach Art Hotel is on the western coast of the Greek island of Naxos, south of the major city of Naxos. It is on the coast in a busy tourist area, less than a minute’s walk to a bus stop and supermarket, plus many restaurants and bars are within a five-minute walk. An 11-minute walk will bring guests to the beautiful sandy beach of Agia Prokopios, popular with tourists. In the town of Naxos -- a 15-minute drive away -- travelers may explore many shops and eateries, plus historic sites like The Castle of Naxos, the Venetian Museum, and the Mitropolis On-Site Museum. Those who enjoy the wilderness can visit the Cedar Forest of Alyko, a 40-minute drive from the hotel. Naxos Island National Airport is an eight-minute drive from the hotel, and the port in the town of Naxos is a 17-minute drive away. 

Rooms are beautifully decorated with relaxing neutral decor and pops of color in the sheer curtains, pillows, bedspread, and artwork -- some rooms have red accents and others pale-green. CocoMat mattresses, pillow menus, and soundproofed windows make for a comfortable sleep, whether in a double bed or two twins pushed together. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, CD player, mini-fridge, free safe, free Wi-Fi, and espresso machine. Large patios and balconies have sunbeds, and many come with beautiful ocean views. Superior and Deluxe Suites can accommodate up to four people with sleeper sofas in a sitting area or separate living room. Bathrooms are lovely with pale-blue tones and bubbly tile accents. The walled shower stall or bathtub add a high-end touch with hydromassage jets. Hairdryers are provided and free toiletries include Korres shower gel and shampoo.

Features at this hotel are limited, and guests will need to go off-site to fill their time. The restaurant is good, and the hotel serves a scrumptious free breakfast with homemade cakes using organic ingredients from their garden. A golden, sandy beach is just steps from the hotel; It's a beautiful spot, popular with tourists, and sunbeds are available for a fee. This hotel does not have a pool, so there’s no quiet retreat from the crowds. A spa with a hydromassage tub is available, and guests find it a lovely, relaxing spot. Massages and hairstyling can be arranged on request. The fitness room is a bit small and underwhelming considering the quality of the hotel, but nonetheless, it has a few cardio machines, plus equipment for weight training. Wi-Fi is available for free throughout the hotel.
