Renaissance New Orleans Arts Warehouse District Hotel

Scene

Trendy, artsy upscale hotel in a former warehouse

The Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel is a beautiful, modern, funky hotel housed in a former warehouse. The common spaces are large, bright, and airy. Art is infused into the whole property, most of it of a vibrant, modern aesthetic. The lobby has beautiful multicolored glass chandeliers hanging above the reception, while a large, bright, Americana-themed mosaic hangs behind the desk. An indoor sculpture garden on the second floor is designed to look like it's outdoors, with a carved path, lots of greenery, and an atrium-style ceiling that allows sunlight to pour in. The hotel also has a meeting room that it uses as an art gallery. The hotel draws a mix of business and leisure travelers, and offers amenities to attract both, including a business center.

Rooms

Large, modern rooms with simple decor and modern art pieces

The rooms at the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel are large and modern, with gray, white, and blonde wood hues. Although rooms are not intricately decorated, small touches give them some flare, such as a gray-and-purple diamond pattern on two corners of the white bedspreads, seat cushions that resemble comic strips, and pieces of modern art on the walls. There is room for a workspace as well as a reading chair. Rooms come with flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and iPod docks. Bathrooms are bright and clean, but simple, with shower/tub combos stocked with Aveda bath products.
