Housed in a high-rise building on a cobblestone street, Fairfield Inn is a modern and edgy hotel in New York's Financial District. Overall, the hotel follows a nautical theme, with a blue- and white color-scheme throughout. The lobby is bright with tiled flooring, white walls, contemporary blue-leather seating, and a dark wood reception desk. Decor includes an antique telescope, large model ship, black-and-white photos, and New York nautical map wallpaper found on feature walls throughout the hotel. The breakfast area/lobby bar features a similar edgy vibe with wooden floors, diner-style red leather bar stools, steel chairs with blue and white cushions, and similar nautical-themed decor as found in the lobby. Fairfield Inn is suitable for both business and leisure travelers due to its location in the Financial District and close proximity to many of the city's main attractions.

Fairfield Inn has a prime location within the Financial District and is close to several tourist sites. The surrounding area includes several restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops, and is a two-minute walk to the South Street Seaport. It's a 10-minute walk to the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, New York City Hall, and the Brooklyn Bridge are all about a 15-minute walk. The One World Observatory, Battery Park, and Brookfield Place can be reached within 17 minutes on foot. The ferry dock for the Statue of Liberty is a six-minute drive from the hotel. Other popular attractions include the Empire State Building (22-minute drive) and Times Square (25-minute drive). To connect to almost anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, and Queens, The Wall Street subway station is six minutes away on foot. It's a 36-minute cab drive or just over an hour on public transport to JFK Airport. Newark Liberty International Airport Station is about a 36-minute drive. LaGuardia Airport is about a 30-minute drive. 

The 176 rooms at Fairfield Inn are small and decorated with a modern nautical theme carried out via blue wallpaper with the New York map, and white and blue color-scheme on the walls, curtains, linens, and bed. The furniture is modern and includes a wooden desk and cupboard with a red-leather office chair and ottoman. All rooms come with air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, tea- and- coffee-making facilities (including Starbucks coffee), work desks, telephones, and free Wi-Fi. The flat-screen TVs include entertainment services like Netflix, Hulu, and Crackle. All rooms are non-smoking and selected rooms are connected for families or close groups. Bathrooms feature walk-in showers, hairdryers, and Paul Mitchell toiletries. Some rooms enjoy stunning views of the Financial District or the Seaport.
