Having undergone a renovation in April 2016, interiors are fresh and tastefully appointed with stylish contemporary decor. Common spaces, though there aren't many besides a tiny lobby and a breakfast room, are cloaked in a chic black and white color palette that adds sophistication. Funky black chairs with cutout details in the dining space mirror the decorative panels adorning the walls, while hip half-domed lamps illuminate the room. The lack of extra features and facilities might detract some from staying here, but overall, it's a clean, stylish, and modern property that's a solid choice for those wanting to explore the city on foot or seeking proximity to the train station. 

The hotel occupies a convenient location near Nice's train station, which is a three-minute walk away. There are plenty of dining options in the area, plus the hotel is situated on Avenue Jean Medecin, the main shopping street that runs down to Nice's Old Town (a 15-minute walk away, or seven minutes via tram that runs along the avenue and stops a minute's walk from the hotel). There's a high concentration of restaurants, bars, and shops in the charming Old Town, as well as a lovely flower market (20-minute walk, 10 minutes by public transit). The popular Promenade des Anglais that runs along the beach is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The port can be reached in 20 minutes via public transportation. Top art museums in the area include the National Marc Chagall Museum (11-minute walk), the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum (20-minute walk or 12-minute tram ride), and the Matisse Museum (17 minutes via public transit). Other popular area destinations include the charming town of Antibes (20-minute train ride), Cannes (30-minute train ride), and Monaco (37-minute train ride). Nice's airport is about a 15-minute drive or 20 minutes via public transportation.

Rooms feature understated contemporary decor and an elegant black and white color scheme. Rooms are a bit small, especially entry-level Club Rooms designed for single travelers, but they make good use of space and include functional features like small desks and hangers for storage (but no wardrobes or other storage units). Other standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi, but there are no tea/coffee-making facilities or minibars -- though free coffee and other beverages are available in the dining room. Bathrooms are tiny and can feel quite cramped, but they're clean and modern, equipped with walk-in rainfall showers, magnifying mirrors, and hairdryers.
