Intimate and welcoming, the entrance and lobby of this property are decorated in warm shades of burgundy and gold and have dark wooden furnishings. A small front desk is located in the center of the lobby, and gold-edged mirrors and large oil paintings add light and color to the space. Coffee and tea are set up on a little table near the door, and there's a shelf showcasing souvenirs and gifts that are available for purchase. Several armchairs and tables as well as an ATM are located by the elevators, and there's another small alcove with a piano and a public computer and printer.

Penn’s View Hotel is located on a lovely one-way street by the water and is close to Independence National Historical Park, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Betsy Ross House. A number of restaurants, shops, bars, and activities are nearby, as is the antique district and several art and history museums. Travelers who prefer not to walk can use the nearby subway or buses, and taxis are plentiful in this area. While the streets are beautiful and safe, the hotel's close proximity to the I-95 can make some rooms and common areas noisy.
