Ocean Walk Hotel

Ocean Walk Hotel is a two-floor, well-maintained property with two shingled buildings that are divided by East Grand Avenue. This property has been a family-run hotel since 1999, attracting many returning guests. Appealing to families and couples who want affordable beachfront rooms with kitchens, this cozy value hotel is pleasant and offers nice perks. Travelers typically lounge on the patios and balconies outside rooms or in the barbecue picnic area. The main draw is the white sandy beach, and parking and the indoor pool are across the street from the oceanfront building. Blue walls and homey furnishings in the lobby add to the family-friendly atmosphere, and there's free coffee and a computer and printer for guest use. Since there isn’t an elevator here, guests staying on the second floor must use the stairs. 

Guests have direct access to the sand from this quiet hotel, which is situated in an uncrowded section of Old Orchard Beach. Free lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs, plus cabanas (for a fee) are available on the beach in front of the hotel, which stretches seven miles. From the hotel, it’s a five-minute drive to downtown and the pier, with tons of restaurants, bars, shops, and the Palace Playland. Funtown Splashtown USA is a 15-minute drive away and getting to the Aquaboggan Water Park and Pirates Cove takes 10 minutes. Portland is a half-hour drive from here, while Brunswick is a 50-minute drive, and Manchester takes 90 minutes. 

Studios are comfortable and typical of a motel with cozy and clean, but unfancy, furnishings; they fit two to five people. There’s a comfy vibe in rooms thanks to blue-and-white tile floors, dining tables, rocking chairs, and Murphy beds, which can be put away to create extra space. Units have kitchens with microwaves, two-burner stovetops, toasters, and Keurig coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms feature vaulted ceilings. One-Bedroom Suites are located on the second floor and have living rooms. Oceanfront Suites and Studios are available and have shared patios and balconies, where guests often smoke. All rooms have tube or flat-screen TVs, DVD players or VCRs, and air-conditioning. Bathrooms are kept in good shape and have shower/tub combos and hairdryers.

Overlooking Saco Bay, this hotel offers direct access to a fairly uncrowded beach that’s dotted with free beach chairs for guests. Across the street from the beachfront part of the hotel is a heated indoor pool under skylights that are set in a slanted wooden ceiling. Kites, ice cream, and bagged ice are for sale in the lobby. Barbecue gatherings can be accommodated in a picnic area with two gas grills, but it's available on a first come, first serve basis.

Guests get one outdoor parking space per room and additional spaces are available for an extra fee. Electric car owners can make use of a free charging station. Self-serve laundry facilities are also available on-site with free detergent. Other convenient freebies include free Wi-Fi, a VCR/DVD library, and newspapers.
