In keeping with the Red Roof Inn brand, this 134-room budget Red Roof Inn is a standard motel-style property that offers the basics. The exterior has an actual red roof with beige stucco walls, and rooms are laid out in classic motel style: over two floors only, with long external corridors connecting the rooms. The reception area is simple but functional, with an exposed brick wall and red pleather armchairs adding a hint of style. The rest of reception, including the aluminum/wood combination reception desk and coffee station, feels a bit dated, though that's perhaps not surprising for this chain. Other areas of the hotel such as the external corridors may require a bit of TLC. Overall, it’s a decent value hotel and well-suited for budget-minded business and leisure travelers looking for a simple, no-frills place to sleep after a long day out.

Red Roof Inn Orlando - International Drive/Convention Center is situated -- just as the name suggests -- off of International Drive, within easy walking distance of the Orange County Convention Center (about 10 minutes). It’s surrounded by other hotels, and across the street from popular chain food options including a Denny’s, Red Lobster, McDonald’s, and Dunkin’ Donuts. There’s also a Walgreens and an IHOP less than five minutes away on foot. The vibrant strip of International Drive including I-Drive 360 and the Orlando Eye is just 10 minutes away by car and has plenty of shops, restaurants, entertainment activities, and nightlife. Disney World and Universal Studios are just over a 10-minute drive and are accessible via the hotel’s free shuttle service. 

Rooms have basic wood laminate furniture, neutral comforters, and a red color scheme including red walls and red patterned bed throws. While it’s hard to shake off that off-the-highway motel feel, perks include comfortable beds and amenities that are in relatively good condition. Standard features include flat-screen TVs with cable channels, mini-fridges, air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Lower category rooms do not have microwaves, but there’s one for communal use available for guests. There have been some complaints of noisy air-conditioning units preventing a good night’s sleep. Highway traffic noise can be heard outside the hotel, but is greatly reduced inside rooms. Bathrooms are basic, and have a split layout with the sink located outside the bathroom. All have a shower/tub combo, but the tub is on the small side. 

The facilities are a bit basic for this hotel: there are no on-site dining or drinking options, but there are vending machines that sell basic snacks. There’s a smallish outdoor pool and hot tub, but guests haven’t been eager to use it. One major perk is the free shuttle service to Disney World and Universal Studios. The self-service laundry room is reasonably priced. There’s a gym that consists of one elliptical machine, one treadmill, a towel rack with clean towels, and a water cooler. There’s also free private parking, free coffee in the lobby, and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The hotel does not offer any breakfast, but partners with a neighboring hotel for a paid continental breakfast. Guests usually prefer to eat at one of the nearby restaurants instead.
