Wyndham Vacation Resorts Panama City Beach

Wyndham Panama City Beach Vacation Resort is situated in a high-rise tower connected to Emerald Beach Resort via a skywalk over the highway. The two resorts share facilities, including the two outdoor pools. The spacious lobby is a bit bland, but pleasant, cloaked in beige hues with tile floors, sparse seating, and lots of potted plants adding a dose of color and fresh greenery to the monochromatic hues. There aren't many indoor public areas, though there's a Starbucks on-site as well as a bar situated in the skywalk shared by the two properties. Olive-hued seating fills the carpeted space, which has several flat-screen TVs lining the walls and lots of natural light courtesy of large windows. 

The hotel is located directly on the beach with souvenir shops, hotels, and condo complexes nearby. Guests complain the area can be loud at night. It’s less than a five-minute drive to Pier Park, an outdoor shopping area with an IMAX theater and several drinking and dining spots. Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is around a 25-minute drive.

The resort offers Studios as well as One- and Two-Bedroom Suites, all of which are similarly decorated with beige walls and tile floors as well as traditional decor that includes wooden furnishings and patterned bed runners. Though the decor is a bit bland and can be dated, framed pictures and table lamps give rooms a homey vibe. All units have full, modern kitchens with refrigerators, ovens, and microwaves. Dinnerware, cookware, coffee machines, and toasters are provided, and guests receive a welcome package with coffee and microwave popcorn. Wooden dining tables offer a spot to eat in some units. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, but there’s no Wi-Fi. Bathrooms have shower/tub combinations, and all units have furnished balconies with gorgeous gulf views (higher floors have better views and less noise). 

Wyndham Panama City Beach Vacation Resort has direct access to a lovely stretch of sandy beach. Lounge chair and umbrella rentals are available for a fee; some guests choose to bring their own, but resort staff may ask them to move if they try to place them in front of the rental loungers, blocking others' view. There are two outdoor pools that are shared with the neighboring resort. The beachside pool is a bit small, but has a hot tub as well as a tiki bar where guests can grab a drink. Though it’s located by the garage, the family pool is larger and has a children’s pool with a mushroom waterfall. There's also a Starbucks on-site as well as a souvenir shop. There’s a spacious fitness center with five treadmills, weight machines, and hand weights, as well as a business center with a computer and printer. The property has concierge services and offers free valet parking.
