Hotel Eiffel Capitol

The Hotel Eiffel Capitol has an energetic vibe and hip design, particularly in public spaces. Vivid yellow, aqua-blue, and hot-pink are featured throughout, including guest rooms. There's a pleasant, modern breakfast room that gets ample natural light, and the lobby lounge is even more attractive, with velvet-tufted seating and rose gold mesh pendants hanging from above. It's a relaxing spot to sit and read a newspaper or sip a drink from the 24-hour honesty bar, though the couples who stay (and make up the bulk of the clientele) tend to spend most of their time out on the town. 

The Hotel Eiffel Capitol is on a quiet, mostly residential street in the Grenelle neighborhood of the 15th Arrondissement, just off the busy Boulevard de Grenelle. Numerous sidewalk cafes, restaurants, boulageries, cheese shops, and supermarket are in the area. Public transportation is close at hand: the Bir Hakeim and La Motte Picquet - Grenelle metro stations are a little more than a five-minute walk, and the Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel station with its RER express trains is 10 minutes on foot. 

This is an excellent location for proximity to the Eiffel Tower, about a 15-minute walk from the hotel, but it's a bit off the beaten path for those interested in sightseeing. It's a 20-minute metro ride to the Louvre and other central Paris attractions, and reaching the Marais can take up to 40 minutes. Sights on the Left Bank, such as the Rodin Museum and Luxembourg Gardens are about a 25-minute ride. Gare Montparnasse station is 15 minutes by metro and Charles de Gaulle Airport is about an hour by metro and RER train, or 30 minutes to an hour by car (depending on traffic conditions). 

Guest rooms at the Eiffel Capitol have a simple, uncluttered contemporary look. Many have considerable visual pizzazz with their graphic-print carpeting and bold accent colors like hot-pink and bright orange. Amenities are a highlight—all come with desks, flat-screen TVs with numerous English and French channels, minibars with room for cold storage, electric kettles for free instant coffee and tea, and free Wi-Fi. The minibars have gotten a couple complaints for not keeping items cold, and the in-room safes aren't big enough to fit laptops. Bathrooms have a stylish, contemporary look, with whitewash basin sinks and stainless steel fixtures, but some have limited counter space. All come with hairdryers and colorfully packaged full-size toiletries. A few have shower/tub combos, but most only have showers. 

The Eiffel Capitol has limited features, but for most guests it's enough for a comfortable stay. There's a hot breakfast buffet (for a fee), with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and a wide array of cold items, and the hotel also offers a less expensive express breakfast with just pastries, juice, and hot drinks. There's no gym or full-service restaurant on-site, but guests can purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the 24-hour honesty bar. The hotel also has a lobby computer, luggage storage, and 24-hour front desk with tourist assistance. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
