Hotel Le 123 Elysees – Astotel

This quiet, upscale hotel in the heart of Paris exudes sophistication. The entrance has marble tiles in a black-and-white check pattern and designer-quality furniture in black and lavender. A modern, globe-like chandelier emitting an orange-yellow glow hangs above. The registration desk is tucked in a corner and framed by distinctive, white padded fabric walls, and there's a small set of round white-marble steps. Nearby is a lovely spiral staircase that winds all the way up to the top (sixth) floor. Some walls are exposed red brick, revealing the building’s structure. The restaurant and bar is bright, with large windows looking out upon the busy street, hardwood floors, and more black-and-lavender furniture along with brown and red walls. There's also a semi-circular bar in front of an exposed-brick wall. There's also an elevator that provides access to the top two floors (a previous elevator did not). With its central location, this hotel attracts a diverse mix of guests, from business travelers to local couples and tourists.

The Saint-Phillippe-du-Roule Metro station is only a two-minute walk, making connections to the city’s most popular attractions easy.

Guest rooms are clean and comfortable and come in Superior and Deluxe categories, with Single, Twin, Double, and Triple bed options. Decor is stylish and contemporary with a few more traditional touches like plank hardwood floors, crown molding, and simple off-white painted walls. Some rooms also have a few antiques or quality reproductions, but decidedly contemporary pieces are used as well such as fuchsia-tinted glass desks and studded, black-leather nightstands, both of which have stainless-steel frames. Bedding is bright white and headboards are padded fabric in solid colors of off white, black, or reddish brown accented by colorful throw pillows. Drapes can vary in color, too, from fuchsia and lavender to a soft brown. Standard room amenities include mini-fridges stocked with free water and soft drinks, robes, slippers, coffeemakers, bath scales, flat screen TVs, and safes.

The upscale bathrooms can vary in size and color scheme as well, with white tile walls framing shower/tub combos or glass-enclosed, walk-in showers accented by black or fuchsia painted walls. White ceramic pedestal sinks and beige tile floors are standard, and some rooms have heated towel racks. Rooms are generally quiet and have views of the bustling streets below from tiny balconies. Both smoking and nonsmoking rooms are available, but pets are not allowed.
