Hotel Odyssey by Elegancia

Designed by French designer Ora-ito, this trendy and space age-inspired hotel has clean lines and soft fabrics, as well as a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The small, futuristic lobby has a gorgeous wood wave sculpture and mood lighting in addition to light wood floors, dark green paint, and light green bench seating -- all of which is meant to create a serene space, per Ora-ito's intentions. Wavy wood walls and attractive lighting also decorate the modern Bar’O, which has a white bar that's lit from underneath and stylish honeycomb liquor shelves behind the bar. Green ottomans and banquettes provide seating. Narrow hallways are lined with soft felt walls and lit with dim, colored lighting. This hotel is definitely for couples and business travelers, families would feel completely out of place. 

The Hotel Odyssey by Elegancia is on a quiet, narrow street in the heart of Paris's famous Halles District. The metro, Place des Victoires, Paris Bourse, Galerie Vivenne, restaurants, and shops are a five-minute walk away. The Louvre, Forum des Halles, Palais Royal, and Pont des Arts are within a 10-minute walk. The Seine River, Tuileries Garden, Paris Opera, and Place Vendome are a 15-minute walk from the hotel while The Centre Pompidou and Notre Dame Cathedral are a bit far to walk to, but can be reached within a five-minute drive. Around a 15-minute drive away are the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Pantheon. Les Halles is the closest metro station, a five-minute walk from the hotel, and trips throughout the city are easy (it's 35 minutes to scenic Montmartre). Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports are both a 30-55 minute drive depending on traffic, though both airports can also be reached on public transport, including metro and RER trains, in around an hour or less. Parking isn't available at the hotel, though taxis are plentiful in the neighborhood and airport transportation is available for a fee. 

Innovative, modern rooms are individually decorated in solid colors and incorporate a pod-like design to use space efficiently. Dim mood lighting surrounds the light wood furniture and there are reading lamps built into the headboards. Gray felt lines the walls while vivid solid colors are sprinkled throughout. Air-conditioning and safes are offered in addition to Bluetooth speakers, and there are flat-screen TVs mounted on the walls. Some rooms have minibars, bathrobes, slippers, and bench seating as well.

Modern Corian bathrooms are open and feature colored glass doors and white sinks attached to the walls. In some rooms, there's just a sheet of colored glass between the bedroom and bathroom, which means there's no privacy (though toilets are not visible). Lighted mirrors hang above colored glass shelves, and there are white Corian showers with rainfall showerheads and uber-contemporary fixtures. Ora-ïto toiletries are provided. 

Trendy Bar'O is a highlight here, due to its menu of uncommon beers, gourmet cocktails, and Champagnes. Some packages include a breakfast of fruit, pastries, breads, cakes, veggies, and muffins, and breakfast may be taken in guest rooms as well. Though there isn't a full restaurant, room service is available with limited hours and free newspapers are provided in the lobby. The hotel also has a business center in addition to concierge services and a 24-hour front desk, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout.
