This mid-range hotel offers 51 rooms for a decent value on the Left Bank, near the Eiffel Tower and Cambronne Metro Station. It is a simple place -- upon entering, guests will find a small lobby, computer station and front desk area. Claustrophobics may want to consider elsewhere, as hallways, elevators and rooms themselves are tight on space. Though the interiors show some wear and tear -- especially in the bathrooms -- bold colors add a contemporary touch. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, kettles for tea and coffee, and French windows that open up to red geranium plants. Front-facing rooms are soundproofed, but may still experience noise from the busy street and above-ground train tracks. Alternatively, some rooms face the courtyard terrace in the rear (first floor rooms actually enter from here). The hotel does not offer a full restaurant or bar, but there are plenty of options nearby, including La Villa Corse directly next door. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
Location
A central "Left Bank" location close to two metro stops and the Eiffel Tower
This small hotel in the heart of the "Left Bank" is located within walking distance of Les Invalides, Champ du Mars, and (though the walk is a bit long) the Eiffel Tower. There is not much nightlife in the local vicinity, but plenty of bars and cafes (including the one next door) can be discovered. Because it is a busy street with train tracks running above ground, some street noise can be heart at night. Windows are soundproofed, which does help. For metro access to the rest of the city, the hotel is situated between two stops: La Motte-Picquette Grenelle and Cambronne. Guests can get to the Eiffel Tower in three stops or by foot in less than 20 minutes. Guests can visit the Saint Germain district -- also on the Left Bank -- for designer boutiques, art galleries and famous cafes like Les Deux Magots, Cafe de Flore and Brasserie Lipp.- 23-minute drive to Orly Airport (ORL)
